Hey Jumkie you listed all those great riders without the main one. Chad Reed.

Reread my reply to MikeM buddy.

He is a lonely drunk sometimes.

<
Ah Pov, you're so sweet. Drunk yes, lonely, hardly.

Well buddy, it seems you and Mr.Squiz now claim you agree with me (or do you disagree now)? Sorry, I can't keep track. You guys argue with me, then say you were agreeing with me all along. You've generally had good takes on GP, but you've gone a bit astray in a couple of debates lately. But please, stick to GP, as you know very little about SX/MX and are making yourself look a bit ignorant (I know, not something hard to do).

It makes you wonder why they really abandoned the trellis for a new design. Everyone makes a big stink about the bikes being prototypes but they really just have high revving engines and one off chassis. It's no surprise that sbks aren't that far behind when the gp bikes aren't that much different. Sbk is allowed to modify the chassis and damn near anything in the engine.
Just occurred to me.

If this is the case, why don't Ducati just roll out a 1198R WSBK with a Desmo GP engine, and carbon brakes.

Bolt on the latest electronics and BS tyres.

Surely that thing would be closer to the front than the current GP 11.1.46.shitbox.

I think thats what i like about you Jum, you get backed into a corner and you come out swinging. Doesnt matter that your swinging at air, but your swinging.

Thanks for the kind words buddy, I accept your weird way of conceding defeat. I just wish you and Squigz would have told me you really were just agreeing with me all along, this way we could have saved eachother several pages of debate.

Not far behind because SBK and even 1000cc roadbikes have been made towards motogp bikes. If you showed todays BMW 1000 roadbike to a top racer 15 years ago I think it would blow their minds. The BMW is a mass produced prototype in my mind. Why does a road rider need all that performance? No reason, its just an engineering exercise to say look what we can do.

I agree the current Ducati SBK is so well evolved, why dont they keep it?

Another wild roundhouse, keep on swinging, you might hit something one of these days

hahaha, you're too funny dude. You were a much better poster when your boy was struggling, but now you're full of .... and have gotten worse. You are the first casualty of Stoner's success turned Bopperesk--characterized by delusion and an inability to follow an argument. You are now suddenly on board? ......... That's why we had a long debate previously, the one were you got so frustrated and said you would ignore me (the effect of losing a debate) now you want to say you really just agreed with me all along? That's a new twist on backpedaling. You are losing it buddy. Well if that's the new way you want to suddenly agree with me and say I was right, I'll accept it.

You know something Jumks.....I love your passion for this sport. Its obvious you care deeply about it and the sport needs real fans like yourself. I realise you are concerened with the sports direction as are most true fans of the sport and you want it to improve...we are on the same page there.

However, what I dont appreciate about you is your propensity for personal attack on other forum members who dont happen to share your view of the world....as an example your questioning of Povols knowledge yesterday and how you are going to school him with your infinite wisdom about everything motorbike related.

You have also repeatedly claimed I am a liar. I have asked you multiple times (six at last count) to show me where I have been inconsistent in my views about this matter. You have yet to do so and deflected the discussion onto other topics or more personal abuse every single time which says way more about you than me when it comes to this debate.

So would you like to point out where I have been inconsistent on this matter......didnt think so.

Its alright guys I have the problem with the Ducati sorted.

It does go back to grip balance front/rear.

But its been emphasized by going big bang. That wallop of inertia when the two front cylinders fire close together is whats doing it!. The inertia turns into a momentary gyroscopic force that tries to stop the bike going round corners. Have a look at what a laydown engine does for a speedway bike. But thats for a bike past the edge and being ridden in a already lost traction state ( like Stoner can ) ( not like Rossi can ). SO Stoner would feel more stable whilst in the slide ........ maybe why the Duc. looked even better than the Honda into and out of corners? Rossi needs a vertical engine as he doesn't ride off the rails.

They need to tilt the engine back ( no more cylinder sticking out the front firing away like a canon thingy), maybe even narrow up the angle of the V and make it a screamer again to separate the engine pulses. Or for the ultimate railway track rider ........ go to an inline 4 vertical cylinders.

Now hurry up and knock a new one up so that Rossi can get back to his rightful 4th place on the thing and we can all get some peace and quiet!!!

PS.

Oh and for the sake of the peace and quiet, the above information is given freely .......... should the hooha persist I would be willing to come over there to Bologny Pancakes and chizel a new one out of a solid bloc of al. myself!!!
<

Oh and further PS

Interesting comment regarding the engine layout. However, I must say that you have a sick obsession with Rossi. I'm not trying to insult you - I'm pointing out a strange hate you seem to have for him that is quite unnatural. You have to slip a jibe in with every post, if it's even remotely possible. Dude, it's time for some introspection.

It would be nice if the GP bikes were something radical and far away from what a street bike is, like an F1 car to other cars. Maybe one day they'll focus on making the bikes much lighter and we'll see more CF and cool technology. I think taking away the MSMA's power will eventually lead to more creativity and real technology getting into GP as it is now these bikes are not to different with their aluminium chassis and engine layouts.

I agree about the BMW and also the Aprilia, they can make x number of bikes then get them approved to be a racing platform. I was drooling while watching the videos released by Aprilia on how they set about developing the bike and integrating so much adjust ability into the entire package, that bike was born to race.

On another note the BMW team have decided to drop their factory electronics and go with the marvel 4 just like Honda did last year in GP.

Haters are everywhere, what he says about the engine is very true though and Duc really won't need the 90 degree if they ditch the chassis experiment. The 90 degree engine is the strongest structurally but somewhere in the low 70s is the most optimal for pure engine performance.

Surely even the most ardent stoner fans have had enough payback/schadenfreude by now, although there are still a few "he only wins because of the bike" guys out there too.

It seems to be a fairly widespread conclusion that the engine configuration and length of the ducati engine are a problem, and my understanding is that the chassis design is at least partly a consequence of this.

I think barry is on to something about the changes made to the 2009 ducati to produce the gp10 and subsequent demonic devices though, which included the adoption of the bigbang engine and ditching the screamer, and have done so from the start. The 2009 ducati may not have been able to be ridden at the front by riders other than stoner, but was not intrinsically unstable for him or others either.

Haha I don't blame you guys, I've taken my share of shots at Casey, the guy is mentally tough and extrememly talented for sure. I think some fans are thinking that the problems with GP are some how being connected to Casey's run away style or because it's him doing all the winning. I'm sure he'll still have plenty of them but the problem is the lack of bikes and the crappy leased bikes. It's really just a matter of timing. The fastest racer deserves the best bike and the most factory backing. For all the .... Casey had to put up with at Ducati he deserves this time to show the world how great of a rider he is. I'm happy that Repsol still don't have their Spanish champ though.

WHich bit is in any way "hate" you whimpering simp!!!??? FFS I have just said it how I believe it is ...... because I don't idolize him and fawn over hm like you kids you carry on like its the greatest crime against humanity

Get real .

If you have an argument against what I say ..... put it out there, don't sit there whimpering with inconsequential drivel about how I have upset your sensibilities. I don't share your impression of Rossi ....... I have made that clear ...... but which part of it is "hate"? To be honest as i have said I find him technically a boring rider to watch. Hickety boo if you don't see it
<

Dude, I really don't think it works that way...
<

Ride a vert. cyl. speedway bike and a laydown engined one and you will see what I mean.

or if they are unavailable ...... I reckon you can feel it in a KTM 530 v's a Husaberg 570 ....... albeit odd cos the berg has the cylinder up real high.but it is a magic bike on a dirt road with the back hanging out.

PS ....... Good to see the subject has changed
