Why does Casey not pull in the clutch? He obviously changes at least 2 gears here. 01:23 mark.

MotoGP bikes have quickshifters, leaning they don't need to use the clutch on upshifts. They don't even have to release the throttle.

Nowadays they also have auto-blippers for rapid down changes. Pretty much the only time they use the clutch is at the start of the race.
Not absolutely certain if they had this technology in 2008, but wouldn’t be surprised as they’re prototypes that get pretty much everything first.

They all run seamless gearboxes now, no need for the clutch outside of the race start or if you've gone off the track into a gravel pit.

I once had a chance to ride some Czech street bike, Jawa. Year was 70 something. It had "automatic clutch". You could even take off with it without using your hand.

Upshifting without the clutch on a street bike is easy.

Easy may it be, at low RPM. Still not good for gearbox. Tossing a rock into windshield is also easy. Are you posting to increase your post count?

No sir. Don't give a rat's ... about my post count. Got over that about 2010. I was Just saying. I never made a habit out of it but if done correctly, it's smooth as silk. I've known guys who did it all the time and never had transmission problems. Oh, I never did it at low rpms, what would be the point in that? I also never had trans problems but as I said, I didn't make a habit out of it.
