And I thought Little Johnny was a vile turd...

It keeps him warm at night. You know... whatever it takes. Everyone needs motivation of some kind.

Marquez done good.

Its the quality of his fans.

What, bandwagon jumping Casey fans ?  Not one of them mentioned him when he raced in the lower classes. But then again Stoner didn't have any fans until he started winning races in 2007. We call these type of fans Glory hunters !

Aussie fans were so patriotic when stoner was winning but like Staring and many other aussie riders that haven't tasted victory, they have no hope of any patriotic aussie support.

Funny thing is i quite like marquez, but then again i quite liked stoner before his plastic fans turned me off. Sorry markie, it looks like i will be forced to hate you. I wouldn't want to be grouped in with the plastic neo boppers.

Reg. Reg. Reg. ....... I'd like rossi too if he had any skills, or talent for riding. But he hasn't, and his fans are ......s, so I guess thats it.

So by that i gather the gp racing world of berry only consists of Rossi, or who ever is winning the WC, just as long as it isn't Rossi. You know there are more than 2 bikes in a race right ?

Thinking about it maybe you don't. After all the TV only shows the bikes leading the race, and its not like you have ever been to actually watch a race. What with the traffic an all. haha

To be honest there can be a close race and it doesn't do a thing for me, just because its close racing. But if even one of those riders is exhibiting some skilled riding ..... then its all good. Eg. Pedrosa was the one that was good to watch at Valencia.

And to be honest I think thats something you cannot see trackside, hence why I rejoice at modern racing coverage.

That's very true of some tracks or dependent on where you view from. If you stand on the hill at Laguna Seca you can actually see about 50% of the track. Donny if you stood at Starkies you can watch from the esses right up to Mcleans and Valencia you can see the whole track. Thing is these days berryboy you can have your cake and eat it. There was an invention sometime ago that lets you record stuff from your tv.

Seriously, and with respect, I disagree. I understand why you exercise your prerogative not to attend races and that is your choice and your perception, but I challenge that view.

You yourself never saw Casey ride. Perhaps this why you also bizarrely perceive that Valentino Rossi has no talent as a racer. Having personally watched your boy Stoner trackside since 2001, even his detractors will attest, you can genuinely see the difference in input, same is particularly the case with Marquez. So many times crew members, press and even riders themselves, (particularly from other classes and series), will deploy themselves trackside in an attempt to understand why another rider is faster in a particular split or section/curve. Sometimes you can genuinely see where and how they are making the difference - even if it is as negligible as a couple of tenths which as we all know in this sport is a highly coveted margin. Whereas TV coverage is superb today and often reveals much that you simply cannot glean trackside, the ambient atmosphere of a circuit, plus the interaction, the spectacle - and often the ability to perceive discernable late braking or a different line on a particular turn more that compensates. Add to that the company of good friends, then of course there is the glorious sound, which no TV coverage can ever relay. The entire experience is sonorous.
