Sorry if this has been done before but I just have to get this off my chest.

After his good displays in the past with Kawasaki, I had high hopes for him when he decided to ride a Honda bike this year. He has disappointed me a lot, I was expecting better. It's early on in the season so hopefully he will gradually get better.

me too. i dont no if it's him or the bike, most japanese riders shine for a season then fade away, look at tamada. abe, ukawa.

yeah, Nakano is a hard one to figure out...Seems like he has quite a bit of talent, but this year has definitely been disappointing...

Still sucks about Kato...

yeah sure is, im a rossi fan but i really believe kato would have been a major threat to rossi during is 5 prem championships, he really was class.
i like super shinya, i became a fan after 06? mugello when he got spat off at 200 odd mph, and he didnt say a bad word about the tyres bike or anything and as i remember he rode like a devil the next race, think he may have even got a podium. my facts mabe a little off,im just to knackered to google anything tonight

I always thought he was doing a great job on the kawasaki as it seemed like it was a rubbish bike. although maybe looking at it now the bike was not so bad and it was just his poor teammates (Hoffman and De Puniet) making him look that good.

However, he is on the base honda along with Checa and so is not getting the updates that the repsols and the gresinis are.

yeah the bikes have changed but if Nakano was doing such a good job on the supposedly rubbish 990 he should be able to do a good job on the 800 honda. the bike hes got aint great but he should be able to beat the tech 3 and the KR team bikes and Checa and Jacque (coz hes crap) and possibly some others which he usually is.

nakano will be regretting leaving kawasaki wont he!

1.well its no supprise to me really concidering the champ is now in the mid pack on his 800, it funny because i questioned how people were comparing the 800 to the 250 2 strokes seeming there only 190cc smaller than the old bike but looking at the riders that are performing on the 800 most came up through 250s and the superbike and ama blokes are not doing so well on them. this says to me that these 800's really are a different animal.

2. yeah i bet he is to,hindsight is a wonderfull thing.

all the riders have said that former-250 riders find them much easier than former-superbike riders.

rossi, pedrosa and stoner are clearly happy with the new bikes although i think stoner has benefited most from the change comparing where he was last year to this year.

hayden inparticular has struggled, Edwards was rubbish on the 990 anyway. teams will be a lot more wary of bringing over riders from the wsb now i think, toseland will hopefully still get a good ride in motogp though.

I don't know. Doohan was wery pleased with how quickly Rossi adopted the point and shoot style of the preimier class. Nobody was near him in the first years of the big 4-strokes. This is about adaptability. It might be a tiny bit easier for the x-250 riders, but really where talking about 800cc four stroke. What strike you as closer to this: 750/1000/990 4-strokes or 125/250 2-strokes? Or may I add: 165 - 148 kg vs 70-100kg
I think the problems of the suberbike riders are more a coinsidence rather than the fact that they come from superbike.
