The Jerez test may be different, but I haven't seen any live timing from earlier test. GPOne.com is usually the first with times. Also, it looks like Official ITRA MotoGP won't start until Friday.

Well, so far they are Off where I sit.

It' raining heavily in Jerez, so today (Saturday) it will be water sports again.
Let's hope for tomorrow.

EDIT: Now the rain has stopped, the sun is partially coming out, but no bikes on the track yet.

Just a quick heads up for anyone that needs it, the BMW Award will be on the BBC red button. Nice of them to tell everyone.

Most of them out now and circulating but still 10 sec behind the 250's so it's obviously still wet.

And now the times are down to the best time of 250. Capirossi and Toseland on top, Rossi and Canepa still not out for their first lap.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (frosty58 @ Mar 29 2009, 12:55 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>stoner on top now

Its the KERS ....... we all know he's the "king of KERS" comes from learning to ride on a game machine .... with a "turbo" button .........

These the lap times at the end of the day, courtesy GPOne:

1. Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) – 1’40”189 (42 laps)
2. Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) – 1’40”559 (73)
3. Casey Stoner (Ducati) – 1’40”586 (28)
4. Chris Vermeulen (Suzuki) – 1’40”739 (50)
5. Colin Edwards (Yamaha) – 1’40”850 (46)
6. Loris Capirossi (Suzuki) – 1’40”928 (41)
7. Marco Melandri (Hayate) – 1’41”160 (60)
8. Andrea Dovizioso (Honda) – 1’41”235 (50)
9. Nicky Hayden (Ducati) – 1’41”348 (59)
10. James Toseland (Yamaha) – 1’41”381 (60)
11. Toni Elias (Honda) – 1’41”406 (49)
12. Alex De Angelis (Honda) – 1’41”838 (49)
13. Randy De Puniet (Honda) – 1’41”851 (53)
14. Mika Kallio (Ducati) – 1’41”897 (46)
15. Yuki Takahashi (Honda) – 1’42”253 (47)
16. Sete Gibernau (Ducati) – 1’42”456 (24)
17. Vittoriano Guareschi (Ducati) – 1’42”502 (35)
18. Niccolò Canepa (Ducati) – 1’42”828 (36)
19. Kosuke Akiyoshi (Honda) – 1’42”939 (43)

These times are still far from the fastest lap times clocked in 2008, no doubt due to the cold surface and to the absence of quali tyres.

Note the 73 laps by Lorenzo! The lad is working hard on those Briodgestones and the results show.

Biggest surprise so far: Melandri... Will it last when lap times get closer to the limit?

Bring on tomorrow with sunshine!

Wow there is a decent mix of riders. Go Marco and get SOME!! I would like to see Nicky up there a bit more but with that new ALuminum frame Ducati unveiled today that may be something. Heck those dude must have thrown off the Japs with that carbon frame. Who knows what they are going to use now. GO Ducati.
