Intrigued, I looked it up....

The least disgusting (by far!) definition I could find says:

"The act of a male eating the ingredients to Texas chili and proceeding to make himself vomit on his girl's head. Then he places a bowl on her head and gives her a haircut."

Boy, howdy!!! You Texans really know how to have a good time....
wacko.gif

It seems that for all his Rossi wanna be antics, Lorenzo land flag plantings and an incredible season Lorenzo has failed to connect with the fans.

On the flip side for all his bad press, incorrect perception of Stoner as a human being that has been fostered by the press and the fans of 46, the continuous talk of unfair electronic and tyre advantages as well as crashy type nicknames when it comes down to it Stoner has won the support of the MotoGP fans and their respect as an incredible motorcycle rider and racer.

I foresee that in a few years time, after the retirement of Rossi, Stoner may well have the biggest fan base in MotoGP. This will be a vindication for riders who just get out there and ride the rubber off it and tell it like it is.

Its not, who do you think ...its who do you wannt to be the 2011 champ
<

I wannt that noone get injured,Rossi to be competitive since the start, Spies to get some wins or atleast beat JLo, Stoner to show Pedrosa or better Puig that is time to go
<
, Simoncelli to join the aliens, and for Lore just to keep givin his best but just couldnt do it...so i could see his ego explode, Hayden to get some podiums.

Some awesome close racing between the 6 aliens! And no runnaway!

Only 1 vote for jorge is ridiculous.

I don't think its suprising. Stoner is easily the favorite for the title, any body remotely sensible will have voted for him. After that Lorenzo is the next most realistic choice but all the realistic people have already voted for Casey, while Rossi and Spies pick up a few fanboy votes despite being relatively unlikely (to put it nicely) to win overall.

If Stoner can keep his .... in a pile (big ask) then i reckon he'll edge Lorenzo/Pedrosa.

I think Rossi will start to get the Duc sussed but by that time it'll be too late, think he'll edge Spies though

agreed. Perhaps it would have been better to place their chances.

Lorenzo was my logical second choice too.

Friend, I don't think this pole reflects who the fans like or respect the most, but rather its just too hard to ignore the speed blitz by Stoner. Lorenzo has won over some fans but he's not the favorite going in because he's even having difficult keeping his new teammate at bay, let alone the top three Hondas. Rossi is just showing what its like for a excellent rider NOT to be on the best package in the paddock, something he's never experienced (though in the past, time and time again, the ignorant masses erroneously and simply chalked it up to his above average ability.)

Jumks some peeps just dont like Lorenzo mate!

I guess it is going to be Pedrosa or Lorenzo winning the last 800cc championship. Stoner was only in his first year and capable of making mistakes often thats why I didn't opt him.

While Lorenzo is rock solid - mistake free rider - on a championship bike, Pedrosa is skilled - and on a reliable(whole season) & powerful bike so it is going to be a tough fight between them.

Rossi is my personal wish
<

i'm gonna say lorenzo because the yamaha in my opinion could very well match the honda again.

honda argubly seem to have the better bike for the moment, but the yamaha is chassis-wise still with it and the "only" thing the m1 lacks is a little power.while knowing that especially since 2008 when the engine was pushed near its maximum and that more top end power or worse (in terms of development costs) more power across the rev range cost a lot in development,i still think that yamaha are in a very good position because there really is only one thing to work on at the moment it seems . the m1 could very well be on par with the honda over the course of the season

lorenzo because he is the man to beat,he rode a near pefect 2010 and i don't see any reason why he should be slower or more inconsistent this year. spies is no doubt a great rider but being his first year on a factory bike and only his 2nd season,he'll do good but in the end be no threat to lorenzo in the championship standings.

out of the honda riders i really only think it comes down to stoner. incredible pace and talent but with stoner i'd like to wait after the first race and maybe a proper battle with the current champion.

as for rossi/hayden...nope

I think Lorenzo and Dani will be fighting for top spot, Stoner following closely at third spot. Spies and Rossi will battle for 4rd postion and 5th position will be between Dovi/Simo.

The champ has been the rider who has made the least errors throughout the season. One DNF can be the difference in momentum, because to catch up one must risk more, further making the cycle of points deficit an insurmountable mountain.

Btw, I voted for Nicky. And why not, Rossi got 5 votes, and he rides the same thing Hayden does.

Interesting point. How many of us saw Stoner at the start of 2008 in exactly the same light?

Only time will tell - bring on the racing!

EXACTLY.....Even 09, and 2010 for that matter.

I think this thread is a little premature, even though I voted!!! The knee jerk voting proves this and Jorge certainly deserves to be a big favorite, just goes to show how many Boners have migrated to PS.....

The testing schedule and locations also need a re-think, two major tests at the same track, which has unique climatic conditions? And then one at Qatar-a night event, which is probably more unique , I would like to see the PI tests resume (if it stays there...)

Lets do it again post-Qatar and see what happens

1.) though he was able to run that fast the ducati was a complete beast and a very risky riding style was required to make that bike shine >> inconsistency inevitable

2.) in my mind lorenzo always was the smoother, more consistent rider. without taking anything away from stoner but if stoner posts incredible lap times thats a great thing and shows potential.if lorenzo posts great lap times thats almost the guarentee that he'll fight for the win, much like rossi but he isn't part of the equation for the first couple of races at least i think

like i said,i wait for the first big battle between lorenzo and stoner, that will probably tell us whos gonna win it this year
