MotoGP 2023 silly season.

Guess he didn’t want to be the token Brit. Tho, if Yamaha comes good next year, he may regret his decision.

Still don't understand all the ballyhoo over Jake Dixon. Yea, he's shown flashes but IMO he doesn't deserve a ride in the premier class even though, as you said, they are desperate to have a Brit in the paddock.

As for regret, I wonder how much regret Joe Roberts has for not signing with Aprilia. I don't see him getting another shot.

From everything I've read, Toprak will not make the jump unless it's with the factory team and since RNF is ditching Yamaha, that's the only seat. I am also a bit miffed at Frankie. He did so well on the A spec / older bike and now he's nowhere. Did his injury really mess with his head this much?

It certainly hasn't gotten any better since his return. Maybe, like Vinales, he doesnt gel with the new Yamaha.

But he wouldnt be on a Yamaha next yr even if he stayed with RNF. And it looks like RNF have Rins/Fernandez signed up

I have to agree, but no one knew.

Interesting, but arguably he is already on a factory bike just under Pramac colours.

I think the factory Ducati ride is a poisoned chalice in some ways.

Watched a video by Motogp.com? interviewing Jorge Martin, he says if he doesn't get the Duc factory ride he's looking for a factory ride someplace else. Honda the only factory ride left I believe.

Not sure the link will work.

Yeah tough team to ride for it seams, would be interesting to see how they would have handled Marquez situation if he rode for them, Honda have stood behind him, not sure Ducati would have done the same.

Lots of factory bikes on the grid these days, the riders want to be in the factory teams because the get all factory technicians, so in theory better support not just a couple factory tech's that's lent out to the satellite team, but you already knew that.

I agree. Ducati treated Stoner disgustingly in 2009 bearing in mind (even today) he is their ONLY world champion.

With how Honda have supported Marquez now, he'll be a Honda rider for the rest of his career.

Exactly, which is why Oliveira was offered a demotion to Tech 3 but 'keeping his factory crew' because Miller (and others) could only be enticed to sign for the full factory team.

Rins on the other hand, is committing career suicide by considering LCR Honda to replace Alex Marquez:

It looks like he doesn't have many options to choose from. Apparently RNF Aprilia is leaning towards an Oliveira-Fernandez duo. Other things left are Bestia's spot in Gresini and both LCR seats.

Can't argue with you there. I wonder who will get the other Gresini slot if Oliveira doesnt?

According to Acosta, he wants to go to MotoGP wearing KTM colors. Of course, he is saying that now but.....

Honda is becoming last year's Aprilia. Nobody is gonna want to ride it.

It’s going to take somebody brave with skills who can think out of the box and is capable of working with Honda to develop the package.

An outsider who wants to get into MGP.

Toprak? A big ask I know. He’s surely pulling down the big bucks in WSB.
But, if you want to go to the top class…..
