Talking from conviction is ok but when it drifts into eternal essays about far fetched theories I must say I switch off and just post a retort however banal, just to let them know I don't agree . Anyway we end up going round in circles, my version of the truth v theirs , which detracts from the racing, which today was fantastic.

Dude, we all know you disagree. Thing is, what makes you think anyone cares? Trying to change anyone's mind here is the ultimate in futility. You don't see me going on the Rossi fan site to talk about the glories of Lorenzo or Stoner do you? What would be the point? It's like bringing barbequed pork to a Mosque.

I don't know or care if anyone cares, I do get a bit of positive feedback on some posts though. And be honest, have I ever talked fanboy stuff? If defending ridiculous accusations is fanboyism then yes, guilty as charged. It's a Moto GP site anyway, not specifically for any rider so all should be welcome.

What ridiculous accusations?

Positive feedback?

LOL

From who, the three others who think just like you? You're looking for validation of your beliefs which is why you are citing "positive feedback", I'm not. That's the big difference between us.

The site is welcome for those who aren't idiots...that's why you get so much .... from people. When you insist on posting vapid, dumb, and uninformed thoughts, you're going to be treated in a less than favorable light. Labeling everything as an opinion is your way of hiding behind uninformed thoughts. I've posted on the sites that might make you along with others, feel more comfortable on a daily basis, and they are not any fun to post on for me....therefore I don't participate on any of those forums. It's really one of the most inexplicable things: When various noobs come sauntering on here and get run off this site, they whine about how the site is anti-Rossi, mean-spirited, etc. before leaving. To this I say, we don't owe you kid gloves treatment. This isn't the site for it. If you can't back up stuff you say with a good argument, then be prepared to have .... thrown back in your face.

Some members are nicer about it.

I'm not because I give zero ......

Great race, Rossi would have been up there but Lorenzo was up for it and was far superior on the brakes.

Marquez rode the knackers off that Honda. Both of them derserved it.

Vinales bottled it.

Shame the majority of the fans let it down

Great race and best man won. JL just didn't give up.
The silence that fell over the circuit today after VR engine blow up was reminiscent of the crowd when Rossi crashed in Valencia 2006. I loved that as well.
However as a good friend sat next to me said "that was the last lap we should have had in Valencia 2015" and I could not disagree at all.

Are you on steroids or something? According to you anything that doesn't fit your 'theory' is therefore dumb, vapid blah blah. You are so self-important it's unreal. You and Jums post all kinds of ........ theories about supposed advantage afforded to Rossi, sns early switch to Bridgestone yada yada , guess what? I don't believe them and nor do the majority of people in reality. Only in this poisonous little community where you and others of your ilk have bullied your way to making this place your own are your views taken as gospel, elsewhere reality is the defining factor. Dream on.

That's the Rossi fanbase for you. Not interested in the racing , only interested in the cult of personality.

Point proven

It's not about the race for any of you....90% of you don't even know what a real race is

Why don't you enlighten us oh chosen one?

Amazing race today, was on the edge of my seat. As others have said, Lorenzo was a machine but Marquez was the rider of the day for me, he was at and sometimes over the limit for the whole race and did well to keep Lorenzo as honest as he did, well done.

Vinales shat the bed, and my outside bet for the weekend (Iannone) wouldn't have been far off had he not flunked his start.

I was disappointed in a way that Rossi's engine let go depriving us of a battle. Though I think he may have had to pace to pip Lorenzo sadly well never know now.

Talking of Rossi, I was personally irritated that he rode around for a good 1/3 of a lap with smoke pouring from his bike, sometimes on the racing line/corner apex. He, more than anyone, knows that this is totally unacceptable, what the hell was he thinking? In warmup Lorenzo stopped almost immediately on the outside of the track.

That was unforgiveable for Rossi to do that.

Agree he was too busy massaging his ego to think about the safety of others

He was probably just so gutted that he was in a surreal world where things can seem to not be happening.

The fairings have catch basins to contain any fluid.
True but the capacity of them is limited and it depends on where the engine lets go.

If you have ever raced a motorbike you simply don't keep riding around the track if your engine has expired

Why don't you stick to what you call "reality. If this atmosphere is poisonous - why not go where you can be with likeminded folks?

Contrasting narratives are most welcome here - as long as they are founded on reasonably valid ideas. But all you have on offer is a string of insufferably stunning banality. We already possess a surfeit of newby trolls who, like all those who came before, will leave eventually when they realize there's no percentage in buzzing around like a cloud of gnats. In the end you'll realize your net impact here is less than zero.

Then again if you're into being abused and humiliated - just carry on.

I take it you just don't like me, so go find the ignore button .

That's a load of bollocks buddy, you've said some crap defending Rossi but this one takes the biscuit.
Did you pull that quote from your latest mills & boon. LOL

Have you ever had something important .... up on you? There is definitely a feeling brought on by stress that takes your mind away from reality in the moment.

Yep, had engines blow in races and instantly left the track. It was rammed into your head by race organisers before each and every meeting. Rossi's experience should've told him to do so too.
