Kesh. Perspective buddy. Pol is prob half right and half crying. He prob does detect some tire issue that may not have suited him (where real or imagined makes no diff). But reality is tires arent made specifically for anybody (well at least not anymore, right VR). I'd feel Pols complain rich given fact if anything, tires where more detrimental to Redding (given his size, im assuming). I just get feeling Pol is whining to deflect from not living up to peeps giving him the 2013 trophy back in April. (Again, I feel ALR on my shoulder so I better mention, I already know all the riders are better than me, im a couch turd, and the judgements I pass are of no consequence).

I wasnt picking on u btw. I reserve that honor for Kropo. But I was genuinely interested in knowing how Pol's Kalex is unable to mitage the same tires as Scotts Kalex.

I didn't think you were picking on me. I meant Pol. Just curious - on what basis would you conclude the change in tire would be more detrimental to Redding?  I figure it's a question of different riders having different biases that are either served by the new tire or are handicapped by it; as in some riders always prefer a harder carcass because of their braking style etc etc. As I pointed out - many riders in Moto 2 much prefer the new tire. Could it not simply be a case of Pol finding the properties of the new tire are contrary to his riding style? I generally go for the simplest explanation.

Again - I ask; why do you really think Espargaro seems so much less competitive this year? General consensus is that the person riders feel the most pressure from - are themselves; the fans not so much.

The weight change has helped Redding a lot and he must have done something over the winter season, either to his head or his riding style.

He isn't backing it in to the corners this season - so his tyres are lasting to the end of the race. And given all the 'want it!' and other motovational (sic :) ) notes on the pit board and round the garage I'd say they have been working on his temperament.

And having the owner of a brewery as the team boss must be a big deal for a Gloucester boy ;)

Was talking to a guy from a moto2 team on the way back from Austin and he said that VDS is a very well run team which does try to do all the things right and to the best afforded by their budget. He also said Scotty seems so much more confident in his ability to run with the ' fast ' boys this year. He knows he can run with them.

Krops is probably best placed for a more definitive answer, but this confidence factor must be playing a significant part ( as well as the rule change )

Oh ..... If BM reads this thread we are doomed. Weird how split personalities dont know about eachother.
