Seems that there's a real possibility Sete might take over Marco's ride as early as Sachsenring while Marco is said to possibly be going to ride Hopkins' bike.

All speculation so far I guess but would be interesting to see if Marco really has completely lost his nerve.

I hope this rumor is true for a lot of reasons.

1) the thought of OJ riding the Kawasaki was enough to make me sick
2) Melandri needs to move
3) It would make the Gibby @ Sachsenring rumor look extremely possible
4) Somebody needs to help Kawasaki, Hopper and Westy aren't getting it done, Marco has wins
5) It creates a highly improbable situation in which Nicky might opt out and land on Ducati now.

MCN is reporting the same thing...and it accompanies an article that Nicky IS going to Ducati next year....but LCR wants Nicky in trade for Dovi...so the silly season is in full swing

This would throw Marco from one bad situation to another. The Ducati is possibly a peice of .... but we all know that the Kwak is a peice of ..... The possibility that he would go better on the Kwak is good but not that much better

i think thats the point. marco wont have a guillotine hanging over his head 24/7. he can ride .... as usual and just say "oh well .... bike"

and also since there are no other satellite kawas lapping faster than him, its a bonus too

If it happens, it would be great, There is nothing more he could do better on the Duke.

Actually I think he would. And if he did, what might become of what is now believed about the Ducati Factory?

its not that the ducati is .... you just have to have a unique style to be suited to it, i think nicky will be a very good match for it cos nicky likes agressive, the kwak is .... and thats because everyone they get in to help with development are .... too.
i think melandri would do ok at kwak i also think the yam and honda would suit his style to he prefers calmer bikes, personaly i think colin edwards would be kwak's best bet hes a good rider and has good development skills.

Nah unless Colin leaves by choice for "greener" pastures....he's prob staying put.....the ducati would probably be best suited to Nicky's style....it has to be ridden..........from what a lot of editors say in post season test rides.....the Yam needs finesse like the 212.....

so the 800s suit rossi. .... rossi. lose 1 year in the 990s and then make them change over to the 800's.

i think it's a huge gamble. your only as good as your last race so it would seem.

personally i think nicky should stay well clear of ducati. although it would be a dream come true for you if he did well there being a haystack and ducati fan

thats a good point. mabe less stress is what marco needs at the moment maybe then he can get his head in the right place and get to work

I dont think it would be a bad move for Marco at all. His head is screwed at Ducati. Take the pressure off the guy and let him ride. Lets not forget just what a capable rider he is (was???) and I dont see that improving on Westy or Hoppers results would be a difficult thing for him. He is a proven race winner, and he might just be relishing the thought of saying a big .... You to Ducati and the folks who have written him off.

The .... You factor didnt do Vale any harm when he went to Yamaha did it?
