Some of you guys are gullible as .....

He answered in the vaguest manner possible. He doesn't mention Lorenzo or Marquez specifically.

The boppers are so desperate to believe their false idol, they will literally take anything no matter how vague, as proof he cares.

You know why he answered the way he did?

Because giving an actual response that calls the fan behavior into question would be giving tacit admission that he created the atmosphere from Sepang on because he was trying to blame something else for being the reason he lost the title. The same way he blamed the tires at Valencia 2006 by saying they felt different after qualifying.

The genie is out of the bottle, and he only gave a millimeter because he couldn't skip that question.

No need to mention Marquez or Lorenzo specifically, they're covered under "respect all the riders". It's not that we're gullible, it's that no matter what Rossi says or does you'll take issue with it.

MotoGP Italy: Marquez thanks Rossi over fan appeal | MotoGP 0

I think that's good if it finally happened, I can't find any reference to the original statement from Rossi. Does anybody have a link for that?

Just found it on crash.net but no smoke without spinning rubber and all that!

About what one would expect from Marquez who has been playing the game quite well

Mind you, (and all IMO) this like a lot of the comments is lip service to the masses and a case of saying the right things to the right people at the right time.

I doubt he genuinely means it as I doubt he was genuinely concerned

He makes out he's some sort of super intelligent mega being and all he does is follow the RHS indoctrination and post shizzle from time to time.

They are the only riders being booed every race since Valencia and this is why it has become such a large issue.

Keep trying to make .... up though.

Whilst I see JPS' point that the mentioning of names was skipped, I also agree that to mention some riders only is not the right way to go about it as it could (or in some places would) then be construed as the fans only need to show respect for those riders mentioned

IMO once again but he painted himself to a bad corner with the lack of such comments over the last few months and the answer in the press conference earlier this year where he shrugged off the booing as 'he could not hear it' (or whatever he said).

The real show will be from here on.

Does he acknowledge MM or JL (let us be honest, it is those two with whom he has the issues) as if he does start acknowledgement than the fans that were booing will start to go quiet.

Like it or not, the guy now needs to lead with his actions

Yes I am very intelligent, thanks for noticing.

Too bad all those years of watching GP only resulted in you have a thimble's worth of knowledge about it all.

Lip service to the media hype too I reckon.

Do you want a bigger spade to dig that hole ?

Just as was the comment by VR I suspect

These guys (MM/VR) are masters of media manipulation and thus, say what the media wants at the right time when it suits to achieve maximum effect.

JL, CS and others over the years have lacked this small nuance and thus why, in some media circles they are seen as broody and bad tempered

He doesn't need to do or say anything. He isn't the president of his fan club nor is part of his job description to babysit adults in the stands. If he wants to say more to the fans he's free to do so, but the only thing he needs to do is show up and race.

where's the heart felt apology from Lorenzo?
I see he's still busting out the tricycle every single time a rider gets near him. they did it to Dovi and they pulled it out in his own teammate. Those were the two that were aired anyway.
he might want to stopping antagonizing other riders if he wants to change attitudes.
hell. he won't even change his attitude but wants rossi to step up for him after pulling this .....
and those who don't think he's taking a mean spirited ... at the other riders. Just image rossi did it. and there you go, you'd think it's the worst thing you've ever seen.

Gaz, since the issue has been completely about MM and JL because Rossi accused them of conspiring to .... him out of the title, he should have absolutely mentioned them by name.

You make the mistake of thinking this is an either or proposition with saying the riders need to be respected. You can mention the riders, AND MENTION THE RIDERS WHO YOU LIED ABOUT as a way to cover up your inability to ride fast enough to secure the title.

He talks about respecting the riders, yet refuses to make amends with MM, and made tons of .... comments to Lorenzo....and gave tacit approval to the fans to do what they have done for months. He says a couple of vague ........ words about respecting all riders in late May when he had every opportunity to make a statement over half a year ago and refused to do so, and suddenly a few Rossi defenders in this topic suddenly think this is worthy of praising? lol it's hilarious how low the bar is set that you have a couple of morons jizzing in their pants over one of the worst acknowledgements you could get.

.........

What he NEEDS to do is lead by his actions of not being a distasteful ....... to those on track and around him that he does not like or for those that be perceives/believes have wronged him

That is an action is it not.

When he stops displaying utter contempt, the booing hordes will notice and will cease - that is an action and he should do it

Do you want a bigger spade to dig that hole ?

Use this as your avatar when you post, it fits you much better given how stupid most of your posts are.

Steve, are you seriously equating using a bike as a weapon against a fellow rider, and giving tacit approval to the fans to make death threats/threats/cheers for riders going down to using a tricycle sign?

Serious question Dani, it bothers you a great deal this forum for the most part minus a small minority, doesn't like or care for Rossi at all, why post here? Instead of trying to be some contrarian who frankly, ....... sucks at it, I could point you in the general direction of any number of forums that you'd enjoy more since they like Rossi more.

More popcorn

if he was using the bike as a weapon he wouldn't have slowed to a crawl.

what i am saying is that if he want's the booing to stop he should start with own attitude.
it's not rocket surgery.

Lol at anyone here telling a GP rider what he needs to do. Obviously every rider on the damn grid is doing it right or they wouldn't be there. VR is at the top of the sport, yet he should be listening to motogpforum.com for guidance on what he needs to do? All the GP riders participating on this forum please step forward and let yourselves be known.

Don't like him, don't support him... you wont stop others from liking him and he'll never have to change who he is to appease you.
