That would be the most exciting moment in sport since Shawn Michaels won the royal rumble from number 1.
Nah, that'd be Ric Flair in 1992 winning the title after being in the ring for over an hour.

The Yellow Hordes are going ballistic!
A journalist actually asked Rossi for a message to the Mugello fans and he said they must respect all riders...

MotoGP, Rossi: al Mugello la vera lotta è arrivare al box
You're being the English version of Daniboy. Did you bother to read this ....?
First of all he MOCKED the idea of having a bodyguard, the disgraceful news that it's come to this .....
"I need a bodyguard - jokes the Doctor..."
Second, his answer to asking if he had a message, totally avoiding the specifically ...... up situation of having to provide protection for two fellow competitors (which he started) illustrated what a chickenshit bitch both the "journalists" and Rossi are.
What would you like to say to them?
“That you need to respect all the riders, and athletes in general”. VR
Carmelo doesn't care about the booing. I suspect it's because the right guys are getting booed. This is the man who gaged the entire sport shielding Rossi from answering the hard questions before the Valencia farce. I'm sure if Rossi were being booed new rules would be written. I like how he also admits changing the organization over one man's accusations that started this .... storm.
And what do you think about the consequences of all that? Of the booing, for example?
"I don't care at all about the booing. You can't mistake managing a championship with wanting to control the public's opinion. That was an spontaneous reaction from a few people, some against and others for, and they are entitled to do it as long as they don't cross certain lines.
"I can't make a man forget something that was important for him because he felt aggravated or wronged. He and his fans make decisions and I can't do anything to change their minds.
"What I don't want is certain boundaries to be crossed, or that things are taken to the track. Aside from that, if they whistle, too bad. They jeer Messi in the Bernabeu and Ronaldo in the Camp Nou and they just move on."
Do you mean to say that riders have a very thin skin?
"Fame has good and bad things. When the Valentino thing happened, people insulted me from both sides and I had to accept it. First because there are people who think we took a side, and that does worry me. Then we decided to stop being part of the sanctioning body."

As we thought, Carmelo doesn't understand the sport he runs, and thinks it is no different than soccer/football. I think the larger organisation of which Dorns is a subsidiary may have gotten the rights to MotoGP as part of a package deal the major part of which were soccer rights in the first place.
Not again. Not what I read in the wiki article, dorna is bike sport all the way. Formed in 88 and got commercial rights to GP in 92
I just saw this. Are you SERIOUS?
I guess these are examples of 'Media hype' then, right?

.... me, another Rossi fan,did you just join so you could come up with this pearl of wisdom?.No bodyguards will protect Marquez and Lorenzo from bad Karma which they have brought on themselves.

This literally happens in every sport... Not that big of a deal. This kind of stuff is child's play compared to soccer, football in some states. This happens a lot in racing... just look at Nascar. Those guys beat the crap out of each other every season. Their crews get into it as well. Keeping it safe on the track is all I care about.
Its better to have passionate fans that love their riders and pay to go to the races.
If you want boring fans go watch an Indy Car race.... that sport died years ago because of the lack of passion.
This is the whole point. Motor bike racing is not at all like football, the riders are risking life and limb at all times, and a major competitor in poor Marco Simoncelli died in a MotoGP race as recently as 4 years ago.
Every sport has its unique culture. Booing is not normally part of motorcycle racing. What you're doing and millions like you are suddenly rationalizing this as acceptable behavior of MotoGP, it's not. You can rationalize all you want to fool yourself into accepting the negative affects of Rossi’s chickenshit accusations and subsequent meltdown, but it still won't change the fact this wasn't part of this sport. It has become part of it, yes, but that is thanks to fans like you who take their lead from cowards like Rossi. What is fascinating is that most of you Yellow fans choose to identify with Rossi because of the inflated records, as I'm told there is psychological research to back up this phenomenon of identifying with the "success". When you dawn the 46 cap you feel like you're successful too. Guess what, the yellow hat also reflects his character on you too. That's the fascinating part.Any motorsport is life risky no matter 2,3 or 4 wheels. Tell me which kind of motorsport is safe?

Mike, dont get caught up in arguing which motorsport is safer than others, it's an obvious fallacy these fans are employing (and rather reflective of Rossi I may add) to justify the disrespect of Lorenzo and Marquez. This 'sudden' (and it is recently) prevailing argument is that "sports" are all the "same" and just like 'soccer' booing is going to happen because fans are "passionate". But it's .........
