Lorenzo affecting championship chances?

Jorge Lorenzo loves to win races. Everyone does, but he hates it when he doesn't win.
Do you think that this would affect him of having a chance to win the championship because if he loses races, will he start to get more arrogant and cause disputes with other riders? Or, do you think he will be more sensible knowing that he is in a class full of the most talented riders in the world?
 
He'll mature with time, unless him and Rossi don't get on, which is a distinct possibility. Otherwise, he'll be like Stoner and any other number of 250's riders who find out that MotoGP bikes are completely different. Give him a year or two to get settled in and he'll mature.

Then he moves to Ducati after his rookie season and makes Stoner look like crap.
 
He seems to be one of these riders that will just be quick straight away, but thats just a feeling. It is a bit dangerous putting him and Rossi in the same team, but if somehow they do get on well, then Yamaha have one hell of a pairing on their hands. I'd expect him to challenge for the title in 2009.

On topic, no, I don't think that would be a hinderence. The fact that hes pissed off if he doesn't win is only a good thing imo. A real racer is always hungry for the win, and nothing less.
 
i cant see how he can go wrong on the 800's now they are tc equipped, he will have it easy really !
i dont think he and rossi will get on, lorenzo is just to square, i recon dani and lorenzo would be better team mates's. i still think rossi will end up shoving one of those lollys up lorenzos arse.

Lorenzo is world class and the arrogance or 'confidence' is justified IMO. Next year will be tough because he'll want to win right away or at least be competitive and I believe he'll get a few beatings early on, but he definitely has the determination and will to win races and there is no reason why he won't have the chance at a few rounds next season.

I'm really excited Rossi has a team mate capable of riding at the front, well at least he should be a lot more trouble than Edwards. To me this is what Rossi needs, there has never been any pressure from team mates at this level and quite frankly I hope Lorenzo beats him at a few rounds just to see how Rossi responds. I figure the faster Lorenzo goes, the faster Rossi goes, just as I expect Melandri and Stoner to really push each other.

Lorenzo will be the biggest failure of any 2500cc rider that has come up to the premier class even bigger then Pedrobot and so faqr Pedrobot has been the biggest!!!

New team bike/class so he shouldn"t be disappointed if he loses races.
I believe Lorenzo will come out swinging and be competitive straight of the bat. The 08 season will be a corker..
