I hope like to see Fenati slicing through the field from his ...... 21st position on the starting grid!

I thought if I started race threads on Moto2 and Moto3 we might get some more interest/postings (and the boppers/neoboppers/megaboppers tend to be absent here 'cause all they care about is "their guy" in MotoGP, so the conversation tends to be more "sedate"!).

Wet to drying Pigeon! Hope Bstone brought the right rubber!

Sorry Pigeon... I was looking at MGP start time! Yeah, day for ducks in M3.

Not sure about the skill level - half the field or more has gone down!!

Butler's retired now - we can't blame him anymore.

Only positive thing that can be said about the weather is that it acted as a leveller. Louis Rossi still had to keep it upright - finally we have a French winner bring it home (remember Guintoli and De Puniet?)

Hearing La Marseilleise reverberating around Le Mans and seeing all the teams coming out of their garages - not least Tech 3 - to acknowledge Rossi - chills down the spine!!! Almost as emotional as Scott winning at Doni in 2008.

Congrats to L. Rossi. I was yelling at the screen, 'bring it home you frenchy ....!'

I don't understand why Brit riders aren't better in the rain. Crash fest. Dudes were even crashing twice and still getting points, haha. The thing I take away from this race is the images of the child like temper tantrums after crashes.

Anybody still on the Fenati bandwagon? Won't say I told you so.

Still onboard the Fenati wagon... too early for i-told-ya-sos or na-na-na-boo-boos!!

I think on this occasion Rea's indignation was fully justified.

Anyway, what are you on about?.....it never rains here

Dramatic race this weekend!! It was not a surprise to see so many hot headed youngsters falling off their bikes but I hope the teams can find a solution for re-starting them soon because attrition rates like this are costly for the riders involved and the spectacle of the race. It was superb to see Rossi hold it together and take his first win at home, but over the season I am expecting to see things play out to a two horse race and I still have Vinales down as favorite

Agreed!

Peeps need to remember Fenati hasn't seen most if not all of these tracks so far,

He also openly admitted that he hasn't had much practice/riding in the wet.

Top ten maybe this year?

Challenging next year. I believe so, the kid just needs a bit of experience under his belt and he should shine.

Ah, yes. My quip about the temper tantrums was meant for this thread, Moto3. I completely agree about Gino Rea's display of justified anger. If you check the Moto2 thread, I said words to the effect, '.... Zarco, serves him right [after his fail to finish a race in front of him home crowd] for what he did to G. Rea.' The message being Zarco had committed an overambitious overtaking on G.Rea.

About the rain, I got a steady update of pics from Wilski at Donny (Wsbk). It looked to be just another sunny clear sky California day at the track. The only explanation I can think of is that Rog was not there, who brought rain with him to Las Vegas. Vegas being in the middle of the Nevada desert, where rain is as common as an honest politician.

Well yes, but after Fenati's first win, it seemed the frenzy had already etched his name on the 2012 trophy. That's were I pushed back.I think he is good enough for a top 5. Maybe next year he will be a title contender, but its WAY TOO early to know.
