Dont get too excited yet mate, those times are only fast enough to put him around the back of the grid in the development series. Hes got a LONG way to go yet. V8 racing here is very close.

As our resident child development counselor I would think you of all people would be able to discern where the parents went wrong.
This conduct of constant public belittlement of others shows the lack of values instilled in him as a youth
I guess much like you and Michael M his parents were willing to overlook his inability to conduct himself as a civil human being because they were so enthralled about his ability to ride a motorcycle fast.

And despite the great character flaws you discern in stoner, he seems to be quite popular with and respected by a majority of the riders including all the riders who have been at all competitive in the last 2 years, and his boss at hrc as he was about to retire and long after he he knew stoner was leaving honda and the sport was very complimentary about his character and said he would wish his son to be like him.
You and a particular element among fandom not liking him, as you are entirely entitled to do for any reasons you choose or for no reason at all, is a separate issue as to whether his character is flawed.

Some people here like yourself have this distorted perspective borne out of some kind of John Wayne macho ........ philosophy that has you all saying that nobody should ever complain in public about anything because it's not manly or polite or whatever.... You all remind me of the farmers in Dustbowl during The Depression who wouldn't take money or assistance from the government or have the common sense to move to California - instead staying on year after year on their ...... farmland - while their children and their friends and neighbors were dying left and right of dust pneumonia - and with their misguided sense of doggedness and devotion to the pioneer spirit they slogged on year after year throwing their lives away on ...... farms and died poor - but they didn't complain because it wasn't manly. ....... idiots. Stoner kicked ..., got the best looking girl, and retired to a great life with millions in the bank and has his whole life ahead of him, while you sit there on the couch wiping Dorito crumbs off your belly and watching Pimp My Ride. Your hubris is palpable.

Are we the great unwashed in front of our screen either individually or collectively so successful that we can brand a man with 2 motogp championships, enough cash to turn down the greatest 1 year offer in motorcycling history on principle a loser?
( I exclude the mega successful Bsmell from this, he is hot stuff)
We all whine about the sport and when a guy on top of his game says, "yeah I agree, I'll turn down a $15,000,000 a year manufacturer deal per annum to ride because I think it sux".
It's like being content to marrying a prostitute, yeah she's a whore, but other guys like to .... as well and hey, she brings home good cash, Forget the fact that her box is worn out and tastes a bit salty when you go down, because its a great source of protein and principles are wimpy right?

So as I sit here in my armchair, eating doritos, typing away on my Ipad, about a sport I have never raced, I am chastised for being a bitter armchair warrior that doesnt know .....
Down in Australia some buck toothed,big eared 27 year old sits in his armchair,eating doritos, typing away on his Ipad, updating his twitter, commenting about a sport he has never raced and is heralded as keeping it real, calling a spade a spade.
How many athletes do you know that trash other athletes from other respective sports. I cant think of any. I even thought long and hard (like willski) about athletes that have changed sports and tried to come up with an example of them talking .... about their peers. I cant come up with anything. Stoner is a singular classless ....... and a stupid one at that. If he decides to race in this series after running his mouth hes going to find himself in the wall early and often
