I would never take the piss, I just thought the 'Like this' button is so unimaginative. Perhaps we could convince Ben to create a 'love yu man!' button that automatically plays this song on the poster computer when clicked by an appreciative reader. I'm sure it would make powerslide a better, more loving place.

If I could remember how to post a youtube video properly right now it would be John Lennon "Imagine". No nasty comments, bunch of dudes sharing music videos, talking bikes, aranging wolrd travel.

I still think rose petal soup is fine!

Also - I stand totally corrected on the tin tops - having read that my feeling (supported by no evidence) is that if sufficient sponsorship was gained there would have been a a third car.

For the Stoner haters - I think tin top racing is going to teach Casey a harsh lesson, he finally got out of second rate teams when he went to Honda and now he'll have to do it again, and every ...... who has never stepped on or been near a scary motorcycle will want the bragging rights of having beaten him.

Spot on, Andy. Not to mention tossers going on about how much better tintop drivers are than muddaboik riders.

Disagree.  If he tries it seriously he will kill them; reputedly was matching craig lowndes' times with very few hours in the car.

Whether he will try it seriously is another question. It is a very low rent form of motorsport compared to pretty well anything in which he has raced previously, and I say this as someone who was a passionate fan of 70s australian tin top racing and attended many races, but couldn't be bothered watching even Bathurst at all this year.  If he has been a fan of the current ersatz nascar series where the punt off the track midcorner is the main overtaking move actually competing in it should make him realise it is total rubbish fairly quickly.

Was referring to the ......s going after him for boasting rights. I couldn't really care how he goes, as I cannot stand V8 racing. Pretty much share your opinion of what it has become. But thinking about it a bit...I now hope he wipes the floor with the lot of them.

....... hell. What a load of ..... As much as i dislike the bloke, i read his comment as a bit of a piss take, a joke. Thats the problem with the interweb, its too easy to be taken out of context.

He is already loyal to his team where he will be in 2014. If he doesn't get noticed he wont get the sponsorship.

I love how this will become the v8 supercar forum because Stoner is there, no one is interested in anyone else. What is Jorge doing? I get all his tweets but they are in Spanish and I don't speak French.

Old news Barb.

Was reported when it happened here and other places, but was fun watching Frosty (Winterbottom) whinge and whine whilst many drivers supported Stoner (both silently and publicly)

Disclaimer.  I am far from a Frosty fan ....................... plus he drives a ford

Dislikeable or not, stoner's view of the particular incident which I didn't see (difficult for me to do so because I refuse to watch the ersatz nascar rubbish series that is V8 supercar racing) encapsulates my view of the calibre of overtaking manoeuvres in the series in general. Winterbottom, former V8 supercar champion or not,  should be grateful if anything that a 2 time world champion in a real sport has deigned to notice him.

This was the bit that was impressive:

Stoner was down to a lap time of one minute and 11 seconds by the end of his third run on the 3.12km track, around two seconds behind the fastest times in qualifying for this year's V8 Supercars race in Ipswich.

<span style="font-size:14px;It's the second time Stoner has driven a V8 Supercar

The first time wasn't a race car, just the sporty job they use for track rides.

I wonder how he will do if he gets a few laps under his belt... it might be a bit embarrassing to all those V8 hot-shots if he starts breaking circuit records in the Dunlop series...
