Le Mans Practice and Qualifying

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (xx CURVE xx @ May 18 2007, 11:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>well considering they're NO WHERE near the 1min 33.990sec Q record from last year....the current times mean squat....plus there was a drizzle durring so...BRING ON THE Q SESSION!

P.S. Pedrosa Sucks.

Ah, but don't get fooled by the new tyre rules. No one use Q tires until the end of the actual q-session. Last year they trew in a Q tire at the end of FP2 and FP3. Anything near that q record today would have been a sensation. Even so they did get quite fast today, only 3 tenths away from the lap record I think. That tells me that both the lap record and the q-record are in danger.

Funny , looking at the size difference of the bikes, it looks like Tony is riding a 600 and Stoner is riding a 1000..

Two observations:
Suzuki does have a new engine and it works. Hopkins has been around the top in top speed on every practice.
The Ducati works great in corners. Only Capirossi is able to handle it as if it's on the very edge, sliding and twisting, only to take ninth position. When barros and stoner rides, it looks simple and tidy and they are up there at the top of the time sheets.

Three to watch out for tomorrow: Elias, Checa and Edwards.

If Tamada is that high on the timesheets i think maybe the whole field will lap within a second, minus KRJr and Nieto come Qualifying.. This is going to be the most exciting race of the season I think!!

I hope Hopper or Edwards bags their first win!! And I hope Elias finishes on the podium and doesn't do anything too crazy.
