OK, so I'd love to say we turned up at Sacky's door. Can you imagine all those drunken ......s spilling out of an RV - but we had his nice clean and well to do Republican reputation to uphold and the neighborhood to consider
<
. By this time he would have been soooo grateful to have known we were stayin' safely well away up the road.

Perhaps at this point it would've been better to have leapt out and hailed a cab. Oh, it seems I did...well kind of!

Cue timely interjection and admonishment by Paternal Povol.....

Consider it a tribute to the original and ultimate - 'great adventure'

Well i took a risk flying to the other side of the world to meet a bloke i had only ever argued with on the net and he took a risk pulling up to LAX to pick up my sorry .... i could have been the mad axe murderer and he could have been a psycho who likes burying internet idiots in the desert
<
Im actually honored if in any way my adventure has inspired anybody to get off their "sofa" and get out there and experience new friends and places
<
. Life is short, make the most of it

Good luck. I think his arse is welded to his sofa
<
<
<
He must be one ugly mofo, no pics, not meetings nothing
<
Theres doers then there's talkers. The threads in this forum prove who the doers are. The talkers just miss out on life's riches imo.

Arrab...enjoying your posts mate, keep it coming.

Next year there will have to be a prize for the Powerslider that travels the furthest and party's with fellow Powersliders and documents it on here.

Thanks for Fu@#ing with me while i slept guys

Good luck. I think his arse is welded to his sofa

I wish!!

Currently designing/building my new place. 50 acres of scenic magnificence. Once my house is done I'm entertaining the thought of opening a "rent an electric MX bike" facility and "Bush cabin stay facility for the Long Way ...... anywhere but in Sydney Beemer crowd" who frequent the area of weekends. ( Its probably the closest dirt road remaining near Syd. .... and was used in that 1st "Long Way.." movie ) ......... So longing for the time I get to frequent the "sofa" again ATM
<
<

But, being busy aside ...... and ........ despite the fact that:

I hate spectating at racetracks, you see nothing and I don't need the smell and sound any more
<
<
<

I hate doing "big crowd things"
<

I'm a bit of a "wowser" these days, seriously hardly ever drink these days
<

I'm long past the days where "boozing it up in a camper" was enjoyable ...... well I think I am? but I actually wonder if its more a lack of practice a bit these days
<
<
<

I would actually even entertain the thought of taking the ride down to PI for a meetup, should you guys ever do it. ( Or drive depending on whether the surf looked good on the way down , then ride to the Island from a slightly remote location )

But ..... I'm long past the idea of going O/S to watch a race ( I think I'd even pay to not have to do such as that
<
) . I guess you guys don't get that, just as I don't get why you guys like it
<
<
<
I can see that you enjoy it though.

Horses for courses I guess
<

How did everone on PS miss that contest to get their image on the M1. I'm thinking we could have had a whole PS section had we known.

i didn't miss it. but the competition was so fast i hadn't had the time to submit my pic. the moment they announced it, it was over already!
<

like, it lasted for just hours. they couldn't accommodate all the pics, like there was only a number of space in both M1 and there were so many fans that the spaces were filled so fast they have to close the competition.

i didn't get to submit my pic.........but oh well......

fan of gladiator ck?

Believe it or not this dog was kind of a rescue, so he came with a name. I wanted to change his name to "Bodacious" after one of the greatest Profesional Bull Riders association (PBR) bulls ever! But "Gladiator" is a bad ... Movie

Dammit Jane, I knew you were an expat
<
<
<
<

<

so we're on the expat thing again huh? i've almost forgotten that thing
<

anyways...

got a tip from a friend where to look for REALLY CHEAP plane tickets to the US. The only prob is getting US Visa as they're really strict, so many docus, and they're always thinking we're too poor to afford to go to US.

Laguna or PI next year. meet me up fellows!

but for this year. SEPANG!!!!! I'M BAAAAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!

<

more stories please!!! i miss the forum

Great Storytelling and Pics Arrabbiatta.....eagerly awaiting more. Great to hear from Denali as well (Jaime says hello, we were both very impressed by you and are rooting for you in all you aspire to do). Glad to hear both of you are back home and safe.
<

.......and to all that are going to Indy, have an awesome time (I'm pissed and jealous, I will have to sit this one out this year). For those powersliders that care, I have this commentary on both venues. Laguna/Cali is, as has been said, Glorious. The beauty of the track and the locales surrounding it are without equal in the states (IMHO). Indy, by comparison, is a little "flat" as far as natural beauty, unless you're into farmland and midwest humidity. However, the city of Indy is nice, and your access to the racers is 5x better at Indy. Perhaps I'm stating the obvious, but it dawned on me during this Laguna race. For Indy, with a paddock pass, you have amazing access to all the racers (except Vale and Jorge of course). At Luguna, b/c of the beautiful location, I think there are many more european fans (which I enjoy b/c of the international feeling it gives). Yet, the paddocks were mobbed with Very Enthusiastic Fans. Either way, you're going to have a great time. My suggestion is stick with Jumkie and CK. Arrabb called them "fixers". Thats perfect. I call them the "closers". They make things happen and find a way. Cool .... gravitates to them and if something goes down, it's going down around them. Take my word for it, (i used to think I was a master bullshitter until I ran into them)
<
. Have a great time .......!! (F'ck your couch....an inside joke for Chrisflyhigh.)

The big difference is that in Indy you can't buy a paddock pass, it comes with VIP tix only as opposed to Laguna where anybody with $50 can get one.

I'm gonna buy Beth's VIP package again, price is set at $350 for this year.

For the peeps that haven't been to Indy, well...if you thought that Cannery Row was great, wait until you get on meridian street, yikes...these Indy people know how to throw a party.

Some more random race pics......

Marco and Edwards were like this all the way around the corner, the perspective we had was very cool.

More knee-puck destruction. (This series allows you to look at the subtleties of each riders body mechanics at near full lean. Nicky's and Espargo's spinal center-line seem aligned away from the bikes center-line compared to Stoner and Jorge's more aggressive comitment. Rossi seems somewhere in the middle?)

Victory Fist Pump! (Or if FOX News covered the race, perhaps a Terrorist Fist Pump? I'm joking Povol, be cool, be cool. I don't watch any news channels anymore.)

Is there a Spanish Taliban or Mallorcan Muslim militia i have failed to hear about.
