Bonnie, the pressure!!!! yeah,need to work my ass of to get the visa and the plane ticket...mind you, a plane ticket to LA will cost me around 1,000USD :-( one way...

I don't know how much it would cost to get to Manilla, but you can fly to LA and back for just a little over $1300. Start searching, there may be even better deals.

I don't know how much it would cost to get to Manilla, but you can fly to LA and back for just a little over $1300. Start searching, there may be even better deals.

yep, there are deals. it is actually a good deal considering it's a two-way ticket. however, it still doesn't make it easier for me since i need to convert that to Peso and as of last night, 1000USD will cost me around 45,000Php. and that is a lot of money here

anyway, i'm still hoping. i need to sort out my Visa first before I could even look for good airfare deals.

As an American ex-pat there really is no excuse Jane
 
I knew it...something would happen and I would not be able to make the trip to 'Guna. Our local BMX track finaly got a National and it's the same weekend as Laguna Seca. Since I'm on the board with the track, I will be on deck that weekend to ensure things are where they need to be. My oldest son will be racing that weekend as well and he does not like to race when I'm not at the track.



....Sorry Guys, I was about to pull the trigger on my travel arrangements, but I'm sorta glad I didn't now!
