Crazy things happen at Nascar races but, I can say the same for just about any grass roots form of racing I've been to in the states. Flat track racing back home during the summer everyone is hammered and you don't need a pit pass just know someone already there to bring you in. Glen Helen gets crazy when any sort of MX race happens there. Any sort of sanctioned drag race there is bound to be some sort of hell breaking loose in the after hours Nitro powered cars and bikes sitting so close you have to wear ear muffs for risk of losing your hearing for a good long while feeling the vibration caused by massive cylinders igniting
ah motorsports my fond friend there is nothing better. Kimi has definitely gone down hill I was excited when I found out he was going to WRC now I'm happy to see him leave. My duty station in germany happens to be the city that the WRC ADAC Rally of Deutschland takes place around. I can tell you for sure from driving on those very same roads that those guys have some serious cojones. There are 2ft tall blocks of cement that line the sides of the roads to keep tanks and other forms of military vehicles from sliding off the cement roads (yes the race does take place on the range roads). Those roads at points will be asphalt or cement have and my mixture of gravel, sand or mud scattered across it. Any rally is extremely difficult but, in my mind I think this one makes the drivers and co drivers ..... clench just a tad bit more.
