I am happy for Josh. I think he had a great showing and should hold his head up for the performance that he showed.

Occasionally I'm happy when I make the choice to shut up. When Boz (USA) and Cudlin (Aus) filled in I jumped in and said "it will be ...., they will be dead last or bin it etc".

Didn't know anything about Josh Hayes so I rather sensibly held it and then watched him, I thought that despite a depleted field he did really well, definitely the level above the normal wildcard or fill in rider.

Hayes did OK in dodgy conditions. We have certainly seen a lot worse from wild carders

I think he did better than OK, but that's just me.

Few thought he was worthy of mention in their Sunday's post race debriefs. Even here in the States, we barely managed to give the man his proper kudos. I suppose its fitting for some no-name staff rider, probably some intern, to write up a piece on Hayes.

I suppose if BBostrom had come in 7th in a GP, some people would be demanding his return to the world stage.

Sorry Austin, but that was funny. Plus, you deserve it considering your unimpressed tone on Hayes.

Agreed. But you're still missing my point. As a wildcard, it was very impressive. I'm thinking in terms of potential MotoGP talent. Did he show enough to be considered for a ride (putting aside age, marketability, etc.)? Which I still believe the answer is no.
