Josh Hayes to Ride Edward's Tech Trois bike a Valencia!

That was another question I was going to ask...went to a charity night last year and Jamie whitham was compere. Someone asked a question about salaries in bike racing. He said 75% of riders in BSB ride for nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Due to the lack of decent tv coverage worldwide and the possible insular nature of the series, how much coin is an American rider gonna get in WSS ? Not a lot.

Is Hayes good enough to secure a top WSBK in his debut season ? Will one if the top two or three teams take a risk in him. If not, the he gets a satellite ride. Is a AMA title winning racer gonna earn more riding in WSBK then ? No.

For the life of me, i do not understand why they do that. If you will ride for free, someone will most assuredly take you up on it. If the riders said no way will we risk our lives for free, the series and owners would have no choice but to pay. They are cutting their own throats today and bleeding the future rider. Insanity.

Anyway, getting back to Hayes.

Huh huh. How long will the AMA be underrated among the international community?

America!! .... Yeah!!

I remember when I first came around the forum and had my first knock-down drag-out ten-page argument about this with all the Powerslide Brits and Euros poo poohing AMA riders and yammering on about European Superbike riders as if they were just genetically superior to American riders. Anti-Americanism was so rampant when Nicky took the championship that year. What .........

The only realistic way an AMA rider gets onto the world stage is by getting scouted by a factory directly. Otherwise it's satellite teams and the odds are against them before they've even started

Maybe riders should form a union.

How did this turn into a BBoz bash thread. .... all you guys who think BBoz has not heart or talent.

.... You Too

Am I the only one who thinks Aaron Slight and Ben Bostrom on the L&M Ducati circa 2001 would be the greatest Superbike team of all time?

Yes

From my point of view, I ain't poo pooing any rider in any series. Anyone racing at any level in any series deserves respect.

The point is that currently, the AMA probably does not currently give riders the platform to push onto the world scene. The very very top guys may get the chance, but talented riders with potential will probably get over looked.

Maybe riders should form a union.

Then there would only be 5 races a year, and those would be limited to 10 laps because of required break times. Then the tire technicians would have to form a union, the chassis technicians etc etc etc. Couldnt have someone doing more than one task. After hiring stewards and grievance officers and the required 4 men to do 1 mans job. they go broke and fold up. .... it, let the dumb ...'s ride for free.

Refuse to ride for free? Ha!

Danger and expense are not limited to the upper echelons of motorcycle racing, and week in, week out, private punters spend their entire pay cheques and more just to go racing. For many people, "making it" means getting a subsidised ride.

The mixed conditions were good for Hayes I think. He didnt get enough coverage on our broadcast for someone who must've been showing some real testicular fortitude.

I hate public masturbation!!

Have you guys checked the Quali. results?

Now get your hands off it!.

The race results say he started last ended up 7th. You are still a ..... The American version of ...., not the British version.

The use of the "Tech Trois" by people that aren't french makes me laugh. Commentators do it now and then.

Yeah yeah it a french based team...but its written on the bike (and everywhere else) as Tech3.....not Tech Trois.

povol I'm not having a go at you.

Actually GP, since is written on the bike (and everywhere else) BY FRENCH PEOPLE it IS Tech Trois. You being an anglophone interpret it as Tech Three.

Is it OK if I spell it Tech 3 but say Tech Trois? Actually, what does Colin do? He should probably be the English-speaking barometer on the matter.

If it was written as "trois" and not "3" I would agree. I just think that numerals are meant to be read in whatever language the rest of your conversation is being held in.

I don't know anyone that drives a BMW 3 series that calls it a BMW drei Series or a 5 series that calls it a funf series. Even though it's put on the car by GERMAN PEOPLE.

I haven't heard anyone refer to the HRC Honda as an RC ni Ichi san V(RC213V) even though it's Japanese.

You obiviosly do then MickyD.

It's not a criticism.....as I said it makes me laugh.

Anyway Josh Hayes impressed me in his ride for Tech Trois aboard the Yamaha M Ichi.
