Jordan headed to MotoGP

Ha!, I just posted the same in the Superbike thread.

Jordan going to WSBK seems more feasible at the moment, and with the EVO rules coming into play maybe more affordable?

Saw a tweet form Mathew Britt that Yamaha might be mulling a return to WSBK (rumor of course) in 2015.

Could be a WSBK revival of sorts?

That makes perfect sense, the Evo rules will allow Yamaha to be competitive straight away and at a reasonable cost, Aprilia on the other hand are going to catch a cold with these rules.

I was actually expecting him to field a motogp team several years ago. The fact he was allowed to actually ride the 2 seater instead of pillion with Mamola suggested a lot more than the normal run of the mill celeb grooming. Sometime afterwards Antonio Bandaros got involved in moto2 and Jordon was still being talked about. With the new Production racers coming it could offer a way in to gp competitive with a wsbk team.

i never got  why the rsv4 isnt tearing it up in superstocks. the showroombike has always been the only real competition for the beamer when it comes to laptimes on stock bikes

I know very little about what's going on in AMA these days. Please tell me John Hopkins and Roger Lee Hayden aren't the best the US has to offer at the moment.

Don't underestimate these guys, and I'd put Josh Hayes at the top of the list.  Consider Iannone was giving Marc fits and now look at him.  Paritymatters.  Anyway, as far as future, I think the boys running DSB are AMA's best.  Cameron Beaubier, JD Beach, Jake Gagne, Garrett Gerloff, Jake Lewis among our future stars.

whats dorkna offering them to joint. ? suck my c do as we say.

All the best what they do under the dorkna rule it will be an eye opener

I don't think I am underestimating them. Hopkins was a good rider, but he's been past the point in his career where he should consider these sorts of adventures. He hasn't been performing very well on the world championship level for some time now and hasn't been able to dominate BSB either. Roger Lee Hayden never did have the results that would suggest to me he would be very competitive in either wsbk or motogp. I did think of Hayes, he was impressive on his wildcard and seems to be pretty much top dog in the AMA. However, he is 35 years old...that would be pretty old for motogp and even to start a wsbk career. I hope those young kids you mention will show some new hope for US racing on the international stage. Beaubier is the only one among them that I know. Pity he dropped out of the gp trajectory.

As far as motogp goes, I would also seriously doubt whether its a wise decision to join at this time. Too much uncertainty regarding rules, tv coverage and long term future.

An all Americam MJ Gatorade Honda with Nick and ______ would be kickass B) and Nick was needing sponsorship cash could be good timing.. or even a MJ Yamaha team i mean wtf is a "Tech 3" anyhow? ;)

But ill put $5 on a MJ Suzuki Team 2015..

if they want to do it Respect, BUT All motogp / wsbk. Run by "D" Go to the Dunce Corner if u dont follow the Rules.

Not that I think it will ever happen, but you guys should be wishing both your nuts that MJ runs a MotoGP team better than he does an NBA basketball team.  Now presenting: The Charlotte Bobcats MotoGP team!  We'll be mucking it around with the other CRT backmarkers for the next decade or so....

While I have no objection to a bit more eye-candy in GPs, there should be standards. On the face of it she's passable, but as soon as she opens her mouth (to talk) you realise you are in the presence of a complete and utter skank. ;)

Some teams are in it for the long haul… others may want quick exposure (Team Effenbert anyone…). Who knows what the agenda of MJ's sponsors is?

Something like the Honda does give a team with big sponsors a chance to jump in for a season or two, throw around some cash, entertain their VIPs and then bail without really worrying too much about results.
