John Hopkins

OK....I am literally gutted for Hopper. Knife in the gut style.

But I think he's done his MotoGP run no harm at all. He lost it by a wheel length....might as well be the champion. Fuggin' Pom Hill took it but we'll forgive him that...this time. Right Jumkie?

Suzuki is still on the fence. I think John would be very smart to hop on the LCR Honda and show some people the way around next season.

I'm calling it here. Hopkins in front of CRTdwards next week.

Hopper needs to get on a LCR Honda, even if Suzuki do stay and 'commit' (relatively speaking), i think he's better to be on a more known quantity and at least benchmark himself against more other guys, even if it isn't the top equipment. I think he'll be pretty solid

I'm sure we will find out soon.

He says whatever he will be in a WC next year. I suppose its all down to the decision from zooki that we should find out this week end in Oz.

What ever he does I'll be cheering him on

Interesting, although it sounds as though they are just speculating about suzuki with no inside knowledge like everyone else. I don't dismiss the suggestion that suzuki might again make/have made the decision without letting their current team know though.

I don't think Suzuki will leave, they'll just continue with their half-assed effort. But if they do, I personally would rather see Bautista on the LCR than Hopkins. Both are talented riders, but I think Bautista has more potential. They might not differ in age too much, but I think Bautista has more life left in him. He has also shown to be an excellent rider on somewhat uncompetitive but developing bike. Hopkins on the other hand has been known to be a bit of a liability in the past.

I like bautista as well. 4th in the championship (on a suzuki) which hopper once managed is hard to argue with though.

Hard but not impossible. In 2007 the Bridgestones were on several occasions better than the Michelins, and apart from the Ducati's, the Suzuki's were second to benefit from this. No such breaks for Bautista so far. I'm also inclined to believe that Suzuki was more competitive (and more willing to make an effort) in 2006 and 2007 than they have been the past few years.

I don't know. It's not that I don't like Hopkins, on the contrary. But I also remember how he left Suzuki right when they were getting their act together and personally, I questioned his motives at the time. I want to see him back in motogp, but if I had to choose I'd prefer Bautista any day and I think he would be a better option for every reason safe for sponsorship and nationality.

Well who ever picks him up I think he will be good......hopper is riding better now I think then past and all those injuries did not help, but this is a new Hopkins IMO. Age has nothing to do with this I think he is mentally ready now, and his riding shows. Suzuki has always had Hopkins loyalty and so do I and I don't race for them but I rather see hopkins on a comptitive machinery if Suzuki decides not to race. Alvaro is doing a good job on the Suzuki but I think once Hopkins get the wraps on that bike he will be the better performer,BSB made him realize that he still has the fire! so Suzuki could use that to light up the torch on thier team efforts, cuz Hopkins is coming and coming with a vengence.

Based on the riders and the results and the way the season went, i am of the opinion that the 07 Suzuki was a pretty decent bike and would definitely have won multiple races with an 'Alien' on board

Bike Swap?? That would be an interesting concept at the end of the season to have one day where teams swap riders and race? Then we can find out if it is riders or machine that suck.

I think Hopper has never been beat in season classification by a teammate in a full season.

I think on a Suzuki in WSBK is where you will find Hopkins in '12 - as much as I'd like to see him in GP. There is a fair chance that he will be with the same team he rode for in BSB this season. Denning will take the team to WSBK if the Suzuki GP team pulls out.

Possible but I don't think so.......Hopkins wants a GP ride, so far Gresini as one seat for him, so if Suzuki pulls out...He is in with Honda imo.

I think Bigguy may be right bro. As much as I rather see him in GP, and as much as I think he deserves it, he may end up in WSBK. Gresini will probably be reserved for some Italian or Spaniard.
