JL says VR lost last chance to win!

I disagree. Rossi has gotten stronger each year he has been back on the Yamaha. If he was getting slower every year that would be another story. Next year will come down to how well he can adapt to the Michelins and if he can use the frustration from this year as extra motivation. Considering how poorly "Mr Edge Grip" Lorenzo managed adverse/changing track conditions this year, he should really be focusing on defending the title.

One should never poke a bear unless you are armed with a bazooka

Given that the Bazooka may weigh more than JL, I suspect that he should not be poking the bear (assuming all is properly translated)

That said, I also strongly suspect that he is playing and knows full well what he is saying ........... some may call it payback for years of being on the other end of the stick

JL is completely .... at the political word games and media management, he doesn't have the instincts for it, which is why he would be well advised to tread carefully.

I agree, although what he said is true if it was an attempt to needle Valentino it was ill-advised and unlikely to help Jorge himself in any way; he is however surely entitled to claim his title was earned given all the detraction from same, particularly by Valentino.

I still don't really like MM, but I would be worrying about him if I was Jorge because Honda are very likely to be rather motivated next year and MM appears to have learnt to ride in a more tactical manner.

I like your posts and normally agree with you but on this not quite.. I say Jorge should go even farther and say exactly whats on his mind about Rossi cause even though this is needling you know this is measured and somewhat toned down to what he really thinks. I say full bore embrace the bad guy outlaw thing and own it Jorge.

New tyre supplier next year. Michelin's rubber may suit Rossi better - Who knows.
But in a 2 horse war my money would be on Lorenzo. Except in the wet.
I think Marquez will regain his crown next year anyway.

He should learn from Rossi. In the last few weeks he showed the world how political word games are played :giggle:

The future is never certain. Rossi could definitely have another chance to win a title. I mean, who knows - Dani might win it next year. Like #22 said, the tires will tell a lot, new bikes, motivation, etc.

I will definitely agree that his time is running out...

I think it was Rossi's and Lorenzo's last chance myself....... Now Marquez has learned that 4th position is ok, he'll dominate the next few years, and sure as hell Honda will make the bike better.............

Moreover, Honda R&D will have resolved all the issues that made the bike incompatible with Monkey Boy's riding style this past season. Marquez is doubtless planning his return to the winning ways of his two championship winning seasons even now. It should be Lorenzo who should be worrying about the likelihood of winning further championships. Marquez will be as ruthless as ever.
