No TV deal on WSBK a week before season starts. Still no deal on GP  either, but they are at least saying  a deal is imminent for GP.

I will get to watch the races either way, but this sux because I've had some nice BBQs to afternoon views of those epic weekends when there is Wsbk, GP, and AMA on the teli.

With Speed Channel dropping the ball I was hoping another network like Velocity might pick up Motorcycle racing.  When Speed put all it's money into NASCAR they effectively screwed themselvs.

Current TV was just purchased by Al Jazeera and promised to air WSBK in the USA, that's good news for Dish/DirectTV subscribers, not so for Time Warner Cable subscribers.

Immediately after the sale to Al Jazeera, Time Warner dropped Current from it's line up.

I'm a Time Warner subscriber so guess I'm still relegated to finding live feeds and torrents to get my WSBK fix!

Hi people. I'm a new poster here, but I'm spreading the news to US viewers of WSBK. BeIN Sport has picked up the rights to WSBK coverage in the United States in the last couple of days. For those not in the know, BeIN Sport is the sports channel owned by Al Jazeera and Time Warner Cable that started showing soccer and a few other sports in the US this summer. This week, however, they started showing a trailer of WSBK coverage and tonight at 8:30PM (EST) will have a 2013 season preview show on. Then, on Saturday beginning at 8:00PM (EST) they will have 41/2 hours of coverage of the race at Philip Island, maybe live. If you have this channel already and are looking at your system's onscreen calendar for BeIN Sport, you might not see any of the above info, the deal is that new. But go to BeIN's website tv guide which was updated today, and you will see these events listed. I believe BeIN Sport is available on Time Warner Cable, Comcast and Direct TV. It may be on other systems, but I don't know. Here is the link to their website schedule:

Dubey, thanks for the news.  I have DirecTV.  But I usually see programing of AlJazeera about an hour once a day.  But I'll check tonight for this channel and programming you speak of.  This would be epic.

Looks like DirecTV does carry the channel.  Just checked on the D-TV website.  But here is the catch.  Its only offered in their "Premier" package, which is 125 ....... bucks.

But I figured out a work around.  There are "language" settings for the packages.  Turns out, if you switch to the "Spanish" language packages, you can get this beIN channel for as little as 35 bucks. But this would be a very basic package.  So, being the tenacious little cuss I am, I figured out that if you pick the "Mas Ultra" package under the "Spanish TV" packages, you still get all your favorite 'English' channels, the extra 'Spanish' channels you may or may not watch, who cares, but you still get the beIN channel.

And there you go, you can watch WSBK, in English, for the prices of 65 bucks.

I'm confused, I thought Time Warner had decided to drop the channels once purchased by Al Jezeera.  I see though that I can purchase a sports pack for $10.99 and that would include beIN Sports.

I'll have to call my local Time Warner office and verify that beIN will continue to be carried, if so, I'll purchase the sports pack and be in like flynn!
