It appears the Crutchlow saga is not over

New sponsor = better rider, thats why thought that cal never signed for lcr because the money.
Lucio's new sponsor bring cal to lcr.

CWM FX isnt a new sponsor for LCR....they are just upping their sponsorship to be the main sponsor of LCR...

CWM FX is a financial services firm, and like all broker houses...they need results from their investments....Cal from their point of view is worth the money....

Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Rossi, Marquez etc all stepped up to MotoGP as champions and won plenty.

Bradl & Elias both winners & champs in the lower level but in GP not so.

Anyone got an opinion on why the winning doesn't transfer for some?

Happens in every sport, Heisman trophy winners bombing in the NFL, Cant miss number 1 picks failing in the NBA. Most of the time its mental, just cant handle the pressures of the big show.

I am sure he was paid to go, but it seems Honda thinks Cal will be right for the 2015 RC213V.... And Honda isn't often wrong...

Good on you Cal for getting what should be a great ride, now you just need to beat the new boy king in 2015 on mostly the same bike.

Honda will now have 2 Brits on the best bike in the championship in 2015....this is good for the MotoGP...... Well done Honda...

You don't honestly think Cal will ever beat Marquez do you? Hyperbole for sure no? That will never happen. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that next season Dovi finishes higher in the standings than Cal....What shall we wager?

Not that i think Bradl is anywhere near alien status, but a large part of LCR's problems appear to be LCR themselves. Once every blue moon, they will have a great race and it almost makes you wonder if it wasnt because they just happened to stumble across a setup. The fumbling around on the grid at Germany where they say they dropped a spacer and ran out of time, who bought that excuse. How much time does it take to pick up a dropped spacer. Did it get lost with an army of techs working on the bike, doubtful. If it did get lost, were they not prepared for that scenario. The factory squads would have made that conversion with their eyes closed. There is quite a bit of time in between the sighting lap and clearing of the grid for warm up, around 19 minutes. Either they ...... around and didnt make a decision in time, or they were just incompetent to do the job in that amount of time. Either way,a fumbling crew cost themselves a chance to become the first satellite machine to win a race since what,2006. I guess thats why they are satellite teams. Those bikes are capable of winning, but when you take the difference between a MM and a SB, then throw in the difference between a factory team and satellite team making adjustments, you have a gulf that seems a lot wider than it is.

I think he'll perform reasonably for the first half of the season scrapping it out with Pol and Dovi for 5th/6th/7th until he gets his 2016 contract at whatever team then he'll coast for the second half as is his usual modus operandi.

I do believe Cal will do better on the LCR Honda than Dovi on the 2015 Duc....

Are we wagering on pure points, qualifying position, podiums or a combination?

The what of the wager doesn't matter so much as the principle winning the wager....

If Cal thought like that then he would have stayed at Ducati...or even stuck around in WSBK....

I think the most reasonable comparison would be season ending standings position. Simply, I'm betting that Dovi finishes higher in the the standings come Valencia 2015 than Cal. I've actually always liked Cal but I'm just not so sure he's got what it takes to string together a successful season. I'm certain he'll have some results, but that's not what LCR is after.
