"Just checking the MotoGP timesheets - anyone else notice top speed numbers for Yamaha?

LORENZO 243.582; EDWARDS 240.984; TOSELAND 240.589

Then... ROSSI 275.572

Sooo... are the Bridgestones letting him get power down earlier for better terminal velocity, or, is his bike spec that much faster? "

That was FP1. Checkin' those sheets again for FP2...

LORENZO 234.445; EDWARDS 237.669; TOSELAND 234.258

Then... ROSSI 275.313

No speculation on this? Rossi's good, but not 40kms better without have an edge in tyres or equipment...

I think this is the most unpredictable race in these last 5 gp's.

I think also many can or will crash in this weekend especially Stoner and Rossi, since they are usually very faster than other riders, and are always going for the max points.

It will be very tricky if it rains, but even a dry race can be exiting and tricky with those walls around . a crash will be very deciding for both of them (Vale,Casey). If Stoner crashes, then

95% the championship for him will be over, on the other side if Rossi crashes and find some injury, then he can lose a few races maybe and the champioship will get hotter. So there is a lot

still to play for here. But for Rossi is a bit easyer to take it easy than Stoner, because of 75 points lead. Anyway i hope they both go for it and keep it on the track and give us another cracking race, no matter which one win it as long as they provide us another LC race.

So lets hope that we can have a clean fight between Rossi and Stoner, even if other riders could
steal podium from them or eachother.

I dont rate Pedrosa for this round simply because this is his first race with BS, but i wouldn't be surprise to see him in top 5 or even on podium (however that would be depending on other top riders results). Lorenzo hopfully can continue with his form of last gp and climb the podiums.

Ducati must be rubbing their hands together with glee - next year the marketing begins...

He is not a top level rider like Stoner/Rossi or even at the level or Hayden/Pedrosa/Edwards.

CV has a few dry podiums, actually he has more this year than any other Suzuki or Kawasaki riders making him the (one eyed)King in the land of the blind. Love to see him on a good bike.

Anyone noticed the first corner. That look really scary in therain. Lot's of standing water, forced early turn in while on the brakes.

He won't be around much longer so in remembrance of Westy here you go -

Yes. Ezy wants Rossi to win.

Take everything at face value and stop noticing the anomalies. It will only get you into trouble.

Surely that says something?
It shows Kawasaki is making the wrong choice by keeping Hopper (or Crutches as I like to call him now) over Westy, and if Westy wins then Hopper will have another mysterious injury due to personal problems...

This got nothing to do with engine but 99.9% to do with when the rider starts braking. The speed trap are with the current conditions within the braking zone for turn one and that is one scary MF in the rain. But I'll agree that 9kmph faster than anyone is fast, but than again they are spred all over from 230 to 275.

Edit: Seems to remember that Rossi were very close to the inner curbs entering the turn. My guess is that he give the bike a small direction change before starting to brake, sending him in to the inner curbs. Allmost like a dive on the inside when attempting a pass.
Advantage: He'll pass anyone with that top speed and early entry. Better controll on the front while on the brakes.
Disadvantage: Less corner speed and risk of others passing (again) on the outside.

While most of the others take amore typical dry line approach, earlier on the brakes and continue braking in a very carefull turn in. Give them a better line but slower entry.

To be honest, I still don't think Westy will win or even be on podium, but I'm keeping my thumbs up. It'd be awesome as soooooo many people seem to think that the guy is a waste of space.

I like the underdogs!

Two thumbs up from me also. Westy is definitley not a waste of space, that ugly green monster is though!!

Although most will probably disagree with me but I hope the rain continues over the weekend. Would love to see Westy have a great race and give Bartholemy a kiss my ... performance lol

the 125 guys are making 1,56's on a clear sky. i can not wait to see what the big boys can do!!

maybe 1.50' to 1.47's ... and i won't be surprised if "gaysey" drops a 1.45'
