MotoGP website says it was Casey but they claim "slight lowside".

BTW when does a "slight lowside" turn into a big one?

good to see HRC let Nick on the bike...not that anyone in the garage would have noticed.

I am not sure how a slight or light lowside is defined either, perhaps in terms of damage to rider and/or bike. Either way, I don't think it bodes well that he is continuing to crash whether due to scaphoid insufficiency or to pushing too hard.

Is the track drying out? Barbera just did a lap that would put him 16th on the MotoGP timesheet.

the forum reporter (jumkie) has been in contact with me throughout the day, he has said.

randy,s tasted indy gravel and so has casey.

I strongly suspect he could be faster than ant west in the wet if he so chose, but dominating pace in fp1 even in the dry has availed him little of late. More salient to him having a chance this weekend is whether he is capable of doing a significant number of laps in succession.
Looks like he's change his (pre) race preparation. Well maybe he reads this forum too

I think the lower classes had seen the track before. Correct me?
Anyway, the 250's have their QP1 today. It's in their interest to push a bit more. And yes, the track was drying out a bit.

by all accounts any body arriving at indi airport on Thursday was given a free ticket for the day so they had a good showing for a Thursday. pity its raining that will keep crowds away.

Thanks for the link #46, and Curvey for the pic. How could anyone reporting have mistaken that for lowside?

Just checking the MotoGP timesheets - anyone else notice top speed numbers for Yamaha?

LORENZO 243.582
EDWARDS 240.984
TOSELAND 240.589

Then...

ROSSI 275.572

Sooo... are the Bridgestones letting him get power down earlier for better terminal velocity, or, is his bike spec that much faster?

Anyone out there know weather conditions for FP2? Times seem slow 15 minutes into it...

They just did a sick replay of Rossi sliding the rear around a corner!

Track is quite wet. But it's not raining (riders aren't wearing plastic jackets).

Capi running last....good move talking .... about Spies and letting him slip to another team Denning
