Looking at http://resources.mot...pdf?v1_3439ac17 it seems that Hayden's time is a bit of a fluke - all his other laps were 41s.

Spies made a very nice run of lid-high 39s - roughly equaling Stoners race pace from yesterday.

Hairball and Dovi look set for another Hatfield vs. McCoy showdown.

+1 exactly..

also whens the last time we the fans have had a proper battle on track since Rossi decided to ride the Red Mule?

Sachsenring. Laguna. Mugello. Take your pick. This season has seen some proper, good racing. All that unfounded complaining only works to the detriment of your own enjoyment and gives you wrinkles.

I rode the track yesterday on my speed triple. We kept our speed down, but I noticed the track was still a bit bumpy, and slick as hell. Unlike other tracks, no other event uses the road course. They don't even do trackdays.

compared to the 500 or 990 days no.. there was more passing in one race then than all those races you just named.

Yes, back in the olden days, men were made out of wood and ships out of steel. I say you're suffering from selective memory and nostalgia. Most of the 990's was just Rossi dominating the field. Most 500 races were like the ones these days, although the bikes were admittedly much cooler. I suppose it's all too easy to cherry-pick the best moments of the past and forget the rest. But hey, if you'd rather be an old sulking geezer, standing on his porch and waving his walking stick angrily at those damn pesky kids on their 800's....

Indy is the worst circuit on the schedule. The only thing I'm liking about it right now is Spies is fast. The track is an embarrassment.

Hoping for some good racing nonetheless. Go Nicky!

i really don't get why there aren't other events held at the infield, i mean at least track days?

except for that killer kerb that almost screwed bradls season i don't think the circuits that bad....its something very different from the european circuits and i like that
