I grew up down the road in Kentucky not to far from the Haystack boys. I never made the MotoGp but I made a bunch of other events there and it was allways great and a absolute value.
I remember flying in from Colorado to see the F1 race. Hitched a ride to the track and got out on a street corner and was just standing there taking it all in when a beatup pickup pulled right in front of me. A grimey and toothless passenger stuck a red pig out the window and yelled "THIS YOUR SISTER" and then did a big burn out. It just got better from there. Met up with friends from KY and we drove about 15 minutes out of town and camped in the tallest damn corn I have ever seen. Good time.
IMS is woven into the fabric of the people of that city and it makes me sad MOTOGP won't be part of it.
