HRC officially lets Pedbot go - Who is next at Repsol?

While Jorge's win may prove to be a one-off as far as winning on Ducati, it does show he still retains his mojo and with mojo in place he is one of the few riders who can match MM for outright pace, albeit not in all conditions on all tires.

He might be some threat to MM on a sorted Yamaha, hence the typical Honda move would be to sign him to deny Yamaha his services.

Is it an HRC decision or Jorge? Who's waiting for whom in this game?

I have been replying to you in normal mode so far since you seem to actually have a brain, but I can just as easily switch on the mouthbreather filter if you’re not actually interested in talking about why J.Lo is a better fit on the Yamaha than on the Honda.

As has been said, this is all gossip. We have already had rumors of Jack Miller knocking back the HRC seat (he would be certifiably insane if he did so and has denied same) and MM vetoing Jorge.

I was just saying that signing Jorge would be a very Honda thing to do.

The Ducati is too physical for Pedro IMHO...

as per your point on Jorge and Honda I fully agree.

well if you heard the interview with jack miller last week, he commented that the Honda required a lot more physical force to ride then the Ducati, and that he was tearing muscles in his arms while riding the Honda. Rabat made similar comments earlier in the season.

He seemed to be replying to me as far as I could tell.

Of course. I think that Honda&MM may not have a problem signing Jorge (Honda more than MM), so it could indicate that it's up to JL now.

Pedro's career must be judged against the backdrop of being on a winning package over his career where 3 of his teammates won the title during his tenure.

During his Svengali Puig era, Pedro participated in Honda's gutless, shameless, and ultimately failed attempt to engineer a Manchurian rider. However, in the latter years of Pedro's career he seemed to change his perspective.

Honda has to make run a George. George put himself in a place where he is only going to get 50 percent of his last contract, (at most). Getting a rider of his talent for .50 on the dollar is a brilliant business move.

Suzuki should have done the same...

Duc was put in a tough place. They had to pay Divo, so probably knew they would lose George.

It's a difficult decision as to whether Horhay would do better on the Honda or the Yam'.
The Honda does seem to be a better bike than it was the last couple of years, but, as has been said, is quite physical.
Past performance would insinuate that the Yamaha is a better fit for Horhay, however there is no getting away from the fact that over the last 2 years it has, when combined with the tyre packages, become a bit of a different animal.

The fact is no one knows for 100% as to how he would go on either bike.

That’s not how it works, but it’s adorable that you tried.

“Oh man, Holypuck has me in stitches with his wit”!

As I said before, the Honda is a hard braking, hard accelerating bike. It’s not meant to sweep through corners and they are not going to make it sweep through corners because Marky Marc don’t ride that way. And J.Lo doesn’t point and shoot.

What I can't get is, considering how much the Yamaha is struggling right now, how would Jorge be so eager to jump on one?

The 2015/16 Yamaha was a very different thing from today's one. Vinales would probably pay $100mln to be able to go back to 2016 to refuse signing his Yamaha contract....

I may be annoyingly repetitive but I think Jorge should stay on the Duc. Which he won't do :D

He knows the company and believes he can do at least as good as Rossi if not better, which is a damned site better than what he's doing on the Bologna Bike.

Agree with others, he would be altogether at sea on the HRC.

I swear I literally copy pasted that from the internet.

We friends again btw?

Absolutely.

With that being said, I think Dani would be really strong on the Yamaha. It would surely suit his style - he was always best on the cornerspeed 125s and 250s.

Wouldn’t mind seeing him on a Yamaha at all.

That makes sense. So Yamaha it is then.
