Whilst some are saying dont get to exited about MM just yet and whilst i am currently knocking one out looking at these photo's this is his first test and he is only  going to get better, the king is dead long live the king.

makes me a bit angry at casey tbh.imagine him being on either a duc or a honda in 2013, best season ever.

can't recall the last time we would have had 5 genuine title contenders.

oh and .... honda for not supplying a 5th bike to rea.

gresini still with nissin/showa? any info on what spec cals m1 will be? would be great if he got the same support as last year

Would look something like this,10 or 11 possible race winners, how things have changed.

And yet how many actually won races that year... Without looking it up I'm guessing 4. The same as are gonna win races this year...

I'm actually with the Scotbassboy on this... I'll tell ya what I think MM will do in his career next October.

Bunch of premature pontificators lead by the opiate laden, dazed and confused Aussie police intelligence wielding ...... known as The Roo and any other aliases he may assume!

race winners maybe, but realistically this year we would have  had 4-5 riders all more or less equally likely to pull a championship off if we threw stoner in on a good bike, marquez is definately a threat at probably every race.

especially if stoner were on the duc it would make the series look much better, think of 2010.probably not a big championship threat because of the ...... bike but even back then at every race there was the possibilty of a ducati winning or making the podium.thats gone now.

i'm at least happy that if only 4 bikes for the championship win are available that all 4 are in very capable hands

Marquez is a fast and talented rider. Therefore, there was no cheating.

Marquez is a fast and talented rider. Therefore the facts presented as 'proof' of Marquez' cheating have an alternative, logical and reasonable explanation. That does not mean there was no cheating, it just means that better evidence of cheating is required. The circular reasoning - Marquez is fast, therefore he is cheating - previously applied has been debunked.

As I said before, I spent a lot of time chasing this story last year, and was never shown anything concrete. Does that mean he wasn't cheating? Not necessarily. But claims of cheating require proof, and proof was never forthcoming.

7 different winners and 14 factory bikes, thats a massive change, back at ya.

The big question is how much did a factory bike cost back then?

I dont know but they were cheap(ish) two strokes back then so you can blame Honda for the hike in price.

Seven different winners in a season would be fun... Unless it's contrived like f1 2012!!!:)

Just pointing out a logical fallacy.

I can't speak for others, but I don't believe I have fallen vicitim to the circular reasoning you describe. I don't think many others have either. Too sleepy to scour the old 'marquez is cheating'-thread now, but I believe the general argument was: yes he's fast and talented, but the straight line speed and acceleration appear fishy. That argument has not been 'debunked'. We may differ in what we deem plausible though.

Let's get real, regardless of whether there actually was any cheating or not, there will never  be any evidence for it, or any way of definitively rejecting this possibility. This thing will always be a matter of subjective speculation. You will argue that the cheating-theory is not plausible, I will remain more than a little doubtful about whether his bike was completely legimimate.

you guys blind?

That would be a Turkish supersport champ with new extensions so he can take out the entire field this year instead of just the odd one or two he likes to try and put in hospital every race, this is a much better plan than trying to head but them off.

I agree completely with your logical fallacy. But the logical conclusion of that argument is that "Marquez is fast and talented" and "Marquez did (or didn't) cheat" have no correlation. In other words, you can infer nothing about one from the other.

The argument that his acceleration was fishy is reasonable, but again, there is another plausible explanation: he gets on the gas much earlier than anyone else, because his talent allows him to control the throttle better. The facts are not conclusive here. There are reasonable, alternative explanations.

As for proof of Marquez' cheating, if he was cheating, there must be proof. Whether that proof can be found or not is another thing altogether.

Anyway, it's a moot point. Marquez is in MotoGP now. What he did in Moto2 is irrelevant.

I Really like MM Cheating or not i say that because of what he did in m2

and this test he turns up and hes on it. impressive stuff.

other rookies have done well in yrs gone by

didn't Schwantz win his Debut and he got a title too

Rossi cant remember his 500cc Debut but i remember

the 125 race Assen 97.a young pup he had a bad start he was about 12th came through the field to lead

had bike trouble dropped back to about 9th then came through the field again to win it.impressive stuff there

i hope MM Is a breath of fresh air for the sport and he does well maybe he can bring the sport forward

Casey you should have stayed 1 more season.or maybe a good season for MM Might bring your return

Rossi well done over the yrs and other riders too its been a pleasure
