Define "competitive", please.

Where exactly will it be amongst the other bikes, insider?

Where exactly will Rossi be next year. Exactly, no guesses. I want the answer and it better be correct :)

IT will be better than the satellite Yamaha's and as good as the factory Yamaha's. only the riders will make the difference at the very top, at the moment the "factory" Honda is much better than the Yamaha, only Jorge is keeping it in contention, next year he will have a much harder time. Rossi is in for a massive shock, if good riders are on this bike.

FFS guys, he works for a different manufacturer in a different form of motorsport.

Exactly, if true...

You are asking him to give the oracle...

No one 'asked' him anything. He came on with the, dare I say, 'pretentious" name of "theinsider" and in post No1 proceeded to tell us everyone else was wrong.

Why don't we wait a couple of weeks, then we'll know for sure. Y'know kiddy - I've said that all along!

Mick, as you have insinuated I am a fraud more than once, but failed to add anything to disprove my claims, waiting for two weeks is a good idea, but then I will be on your case like you cannot believe, pay back WILL be a ....., pretentious I may have been but the insults didn't start with me, cant wait.

I have stated that no one knows for sure who you are. This IS the interwebs and anyone can claim anything they wish. Buying into your claims without corroborative evidence would make me as ........ as you think I am!

I have no need or desire to disprove something which can neither be proven NOR disproven at this point in time. As a wise man once said, 'I am from Missouri and frothy eloquence neither convinces nor satisfies me. You have got to show me.'

I am not going anywhere, so we'll see what shakes out in the next twelve months. I do hope for your own sake you turn out to be correct, or enjoy eating a great deal of crow.

I am, I will be eating no crow.

BTW - wouldn't all the points you have raised vis a vis the HCR racer also apply to the Yammy racer? The extra fuel would seem to certainly be in the wheelhouse of what the Yammy needs...

Good point, yes it would, but Honda have been developing this bike for a very long time, and it is a complete ready to race package. The Yamaha is a frame and engine package, the rest is down to the team who purchase it, you just need to look at how a fuel tank option (Cal and Rossi) can change the whole bike to see how much work they will have to do to get it anywhere near the satellite bike, and they haven't even touched the electronic side yet. Yamaha are probably two years behind with a customer machine.

See, we can have a reasonable convo! Agreed that the Yam package is less complete, but there is the possibility that this could be a plus for a bright team (NGM Forward anyone…). As for 'lectrickery the Dornob ECU is same for both and no Honda or Yamaha have run it yet in anger...

NGM are clever guys, no question, but even with all the Yamaha data, they have a mountain to climb, I don't know how far Yamaha have gone with the spec ECU, but I am sure they are a long way behind Honda, I don't even know if the project will be ready for the November test, but on a good note NGM are keeping Colin Edwards, and his an excellent development rider.

I do wish that we would get to hear more from Collie… Gotta love a straight shooting' Texan (Hi Lex!). And he's almost within a decade of my advanced age!

What he has helped NGM do this year (almost bridge the gap to the near-factory Apes) with that Kawibastardcycle is impressive at any age!

No, that wasn't asking a question at all... or was it? You are all bitchy and twisted and letting it affect your (otherwise sound) judgement.

I don't know what it was that made you go off on one - yes, the name is a little pretentious, but the information is interesting and presented in enough detail and with enough credibility to make me think he is exactly what he says he is.

You have been digging at him since he first posted, based seemingly more on the fact you dispute is credentials than on what he is saying. Other than you, nobody in this entire thread has been as antagonistic. Why not keep your own counsel, dial it down a little and when you are proven right, then you can go 'nyah, nyah, nyah'? But right at this moment, you are making an ... of yourself and dragging an otherwise good thread into a childish personal vendetta.

Please accept this in the spirit in which it's meant. I've read a lot of your posts and you come across as knowledgeable and friendly, but in this he has obviously done something that has rubbed you up the wrong way, and now you are both sniping at each other. There's room for differing opinions without resorting to slagging each other off.

You dispute what he's saying, I happen to believe it, especially when it is backed up with other reports of the performance of the RCV.

Can you at least agree to differ and let the thread return to being an interesting discussion?

EDIT: it seems I spent so long in writing this that you all made up and are now best budz. Man hugs all round, bra!

Fair point, I was a bit shocked when I arrived, but the post you linked to makes sense, and I am over it now. glad we can chat in a sensible way.

Apparently you haven't read far enough yet.

1. I may have been unclear in stating 'no one asked' it was meant to relate to post number one. 2. I have disputed nothing of what the insider has said.

And I still stand by my original posts and fail to see any 'antagonism: 1. NO ONE knows who the .... we are on the web unless we meet-up or exchange linkedin info, so inter web claims of credentials are to be taken with a very large grain of salt, AND no one but the great intergalactic non-denominational spirit in the sky knows what happens next. If those points are lost on you then TFB.

I am of the 'glass half full' school. I take things at face value until shown otherwise. I guess I prefer to think that people can be given the benefit of the doubt, rather than doubting the benefit.

But then, I'm from a ........ on the edge of the world where everyone is nice and people still say 'gidday' in the street to perfect strangers :)
