The bike is fast, or at least has the potential.  (Unless or until HRC decide to neuter it.)

Honda reporting that Stoner's laps on the customer bike were only 0.3 second slower than those onboard the works machine.

Stoner was considerably faster than Nicky on the Duc.  But certainly this is promising.

Slower than the works machine. Doesn't say 0.17 slower than the best works lap.

No time sheets = useless propaganda.

Stoner on the two bikes on the same day, and you still don't get it, they don't need useless propaganda, the deals have already been done, still looking to find a way to say you were right.

Go back and read my posts, insider.

I never questioned your opinion on the laptimes. Just your paucity of technical justification for them. Something you still haven't cleared up, even in the face of power figures being released.

And finally, my point stands. No time sheets. No way to compare. That's pretty fundamental.

Good to have you back.

Thanks for the welcome back.

I stated that steel springs are good enough with the current revs being achieved, and this bike would be competitive in the right hands, I don't think I have anything to prove.

The problem is Stoner's times on the factory machine were not given, the guy hasn't ridden a proper GP machine in a while and anyone who watches GP knows they all(riders) take time to get familiar with the bikes when the season starts. You can also go back and look at all of Casey's open season test times and see he gets faster and faster every day, compare his FP1 times to his qually times and you'll see why we need the lap times. The POS Ducati only gets a couple tenths as the testing and practice sessions mount while the other factory bikes get faster and faster. Comparing a day test with no times is useless and Honda know this. No one here is attacking your work on the bike, I simply don't believe Nicky will be fighting amongst the factory bikes or even the satellite bikes and there's no way he gets a podium in a dry race. The reason I said you're like the Ducati insider is because he also claimed the new bike was much better because of what he saw during testing and that didn't pan out.

That's all fair, but Casey would have also got faster on the production bike as time went on, I agree he is not bike fit after a year off, but this is no CRT, this maybe as good as any Yamaha from this year, Jorge is making his bike look far better than it is. As for Nicky, he will now be riding a bike that is a second faster than the POS he is riding at the mo, imo he is far better than Bradl or Bautista so a top three is not so unrealistic.

The photos on MotoMatters are great - at least it looks the part. Nicky's going to have a Marquez grin on his face after the first session on this thing.

That is what I'm looking forward to.

He's going to be the benchmark.

Circular logic.

Hear is my take why honda charges more for sat bikes. while the production bike is essentially a copy of the current honda except for motor and trans. the thing is the factory bike will be able to get upgrades through out the season and eventually the sat bikes will get same upgrades. so that is why they pay more. i have an interesting question for you guys aspar seems to have the most money of the other crt teams will they be able to upraged parts such as say instead of using nissin brakes they pay for brembos or suspension upgrades? and is anyone else looking forward to this test more then me should be vary interesting

well, you actually buy the production racer instead of leasing it, so you should be able to fit any 'aftermarket' part such as brakes and suspension according to your needs and wishes, as long as you can pay for it. as for potential updates, i think the next one is scheduled for 2015, so it seems honda is planning on providing one 'finalized' package for the whole season.

Really? I said it would be competitive. it is,  you questioned whether it would be any good without pneumatics, I said spring tech has moved on and it would be very quick, they have and it is. I have never claimed anything else, but what I said has been proved to be accurate, Krops said after reading my posts I new what I was talking about, I did, as I said I never claimed anything else. I asked you to give me something to disprove what I had stated, you didn't, as I stated I have nothing else to prove.

Yes you should. That is until Honda tell Dorna to ban such mods.  I wonder who will be writting the Dorna maps for the ecu ?
