Holy sh*t, wher's eject button?!

Sometimes you have to admire the way that Rossi burned bridges with Honda and then Yamaha.

He's probably on the phone to Kawasaki or Suzuki right now.

Or sniffing around formula 1

Or a rally car.

Or demanding a two tyre rule

God forbid if Nicky outpaced him. The Guinness World Record for feet stamping combined with holding ones breath was the beautiful media release from Rossi entitled

"It's my Yamaha and naughty Lorenzo keeps beating my on my bike that I made" (subtext) "and that's not in the rules that I made".

Suck it Vale, your on Stoners unfair bike on his unfair tyres creating the all Italian dream.

Those who the God's destroy they first make proud

I think VR would have faired better on a Suckzuki or Kawker. They were probably much more similar to the Honda/Yamaha. The Ducati is a strange beast. I think after this experiment, nobody high profile will want to touch it. Its gonna be like kryptonite to big name riders now.

Agree, I just like refuting the historically established notion that it was somehow an easy bike to ride. Casey wons 3 races on the carbon fibre chassis mistake last year, Nicky podiumed once? (I think I invented another word)

For me to ever be a Rossi fan he will ride it all year, speak well of the bike in the team. Blame himself a bit for results, Win at least 3 races and come at least 4th in the championship and to do so gracefully.

And when he leaves to go to team green he'll be courteous and humbly thank Ducati for the good times.

Oh, you mean like Casey?

Back in 2007 when Rossi said, "Stoner, he ride like a god". he wasn't just blowing smoke.

where the hell is the yellow army of worshipers?
<
i doubted rossi back in 04 but he stuck it to me.... this year i think is really gonna be a tough 1 for him.... at least early on.

Crying in the pillow, cause here are so many mean people offending poor old Vale. And Stoner's is so great, it's unbearable.

I think Andy was attempting to be subtle, but NO! Here comes Jumkie to spell in out in bold black and white!

I think Jum was enjoying it too much to even be remotely subtle. I'm finding it hard.

This is the test of Rossi's character

Something I've always found lacking. Stoner gets the lash for being the sook but Rossi gets a leave pass.

And Rossi's bridge burning sook sessions and attacks on team mates truly show a lack of character.

This is the year of Rossi as the humble also ran, loyal to his team and team mates whilst watching the championship run off into the distance.

Rossi also said in 2009 that Stoner is the best he's ever raced against. I'd guess that his opinion of Stoner has gone up even higher now that he's sampled the bike.

It's funny that for a long time many people credited everything except Stoner's riding ability to his success (i.e. he uses the most traction control). Now he's being recognized as a genius because many of those myths have been debunked or put into perspective.

The championship this year will hopefully be the most exciting one in years. I'm guessing that the battle for position and points between teammates will be extra interesting this year.

IM STILL HERE FUCER'S AND REPORTING FOR DUTY.....

Of course we are here.....and the only doubts are coming from boners and haters......reading so much boner ........ is very tiring especially as he's won nothing yet and it will be very funny when he chokes again this season

Yeah I'm with you Talpa it is tiring, and anyway THIS bike is not the same as all those good bikes Stoner rode which were easy to ride and win on. THIS bike doesn't turn like the bikes stoner rode using the traction-control-turning. Let's hope they can get it back to the way it was before the first race as rossi will need that to beat stoner who has again been given a clearly superior bike much like the ducatis ones he had been given which also had a tyre advantage too lets not forget. Why would they keep giving rossi the bad bikes when stoner gets the rocketships...it's just not fair?

i dunno where the worshippers went...anyone?

anyway, i agree with the points above stating this year will be a tough one on VR, personally and professionally. and it'll be harder for the fans of course, who would want their hero to lose? but speaking for myself, i just cant wait for the season to start, even if it means seeing VR struggle and (as we all predict) lose. I want racing and i just have to accept it if VR loses.

Well I clearly remember pre-season 2004 where all Journos, Punters and fans alike were predicting that the title would be between Max and Sete with Tamada vying for third, with most saying that Rossi would be lucky to make the top 5 on the shockingly under-performing Yamaha. Pretty much all tests that pre-season confirmed the popular opinion........

As most also said that Rossi would blitz the field in pre-season 2007 as well.

The silliest thing is to make bold predictions before a wheel has turned in competition, the beauty of this pre-season is however, with the amount of .... Flying around-aimed especially at Ducati and Rossi-there is huge potential for serious egg on face and feces consumption this season

Excellent points.
