I'd say that he's ticked some of those boxes more than once, too. Elias' bike is an uncompetitive ride, is it? 2nd in Istanbul, 4th in Jerez and 6th in Mugello. Yeah, what a piss poor ride that would be.
You can understand why Hodgson turned it down, though. He knew that he'd have to get a good top ten to impress anyone--and he knows he's not good enough to do it. But of course his manager would tell him to take the ride; he only gets paid when Hodgson does...
