Well Honda will deliver in the end. No doubt about that. Pity they have not got much respect for rider loyalty.

if honda are that slow developing and getting the new parts to there factory team what hope has the satellite team,s got.

I had a laugh when on the CBS broadcast interview, Hayden admitted on air that Honda told him they screwed up with the 212 and that they didn't have him in mind when they were developing it.

he aint doing himself any favors with honda saying stuff like that on air, thought he said he wanted to stay at honda for 08.

Honda didn't do him any favors either after he delivered them their first championship since Rossi left. After the complaining that's gone on from other Honda riders, if they take offense to Hayden's comments I say they should get stuffed. Hayden should switch to Ducati at the end of his contract and wave goodbye to all the HRC .........

if he has any sense he will, a change mabe just what he needs, look at stoner,i think nickys style is more suited to a bike with some grunt.

Yes, Honda has been arrogant about claiming that their bikes were winners. And that they could ride with any rider. Thats why they let Rossi go.. If you look at GP history, Honda does stand head and shoulders over the other manufacturers. But, I think they need to be more accomodating to riders preferances. And, it does look like they are not counting on Hayden to win them any more championships.

If I were Hayden I'd be extremely pissed at Honda right now. He helped them out immensely and performed really well last season and how do they reward him? By designing a bike around the munchkin that they feel is going to be the most competitive. They basically said to him, "Well...thanks for the help, but you're gonna have to take a back seat to the guy who just came in. If you don't like it, get stuffed."

And on top of all that, they screw up and design a bike that even the munchkin himself can't win on. Amazing.

Stoner/Hayden at Ducati for '08!

Hayden should stick with Honda, this season Honda have made some bad calls, but they have admitted so and they will put it right as soon as possible.

I agree with that plan. The Honda situation is the most interesting sub-plot to the season for me besides the Rossi-Stoner battle. With NH looking more on form with the new parts and miniP starting to complain perhaps Nicky can salvage what has been a disapointing [to say the least] season. If Hayden puts together a good run in the second half of the season, consistently beats DP and maybe is the first Honda to win a race/Laguna, Honda will have a whole lot of thinking to do as far as who/how to support. This all could be happening just as Honda is getting it right and NH could be the one who gains the most.

hmmm that would do nicely. sorta a reverse from last season when he started having alot of problems in the 2nd half.

I've been saying it since last year's silly season linked Hayden to a switch to Ducati for 2007.

It's agonizing to leave a factory HRC seat, even Rossi deliberated for the majority of a season before making a decision. Ultimately Honda will resolve the issues with the 212 and it will be a competitive bike. I'm of the impression though that Honda have been ungrateful towards Hayden in terms of development. Win a championship and watch your teammate get all the good stuff.

I'm sure that's the game plan in Hayden's camp. Get the support from Honda through results is surely what he has in mind. The question is does he use that success to remain with HRC or parlay it to get himself a shiny new Ducati?

Bringing the crown back after several years of Rossi rubbing their noses in it with Yamaha sure didn't seem to make Honda think much about who was going to be on top. It's kind of sickening, really.

I don't see them changing that too much. Pedrosa is their golden boy, and Repsol is behind him.

If a World Championship victory didn't make them think, a second half of the season run sure as hell isn't going to do it!!!!

who knows....at least a rider like NH is loyal, works hard, and has integrity. Nicky will come out on top no matter what happens. he's not peaked out yet. he beat P with same equip this last race @ Assen. so these HRC .... smokers need to wake the f%k up and stop with all this mental masturbation. I think Hayden is coming to grips w/ that piece of crap bike and there is a good chance he'll keep beating the guy they designed the bike for. Man that was such an awesome start by NH @ assen. Whatever happens, he will make whatever manufacter happy. after all he is a world champ.

On the surface I would agree with that but [and this might be wishful thinking] great second half plus the championship plus the golden boy falling out of favor plus being a good soldier plus naming his first child Honda Hayden and maybe next year he gets the support.

It would be interesting to see MiniP and Puig's reaction to any sort of downgrade in the Honda camp. Good point on Repsol though, that is their ace in the hole.

And even then they still might not do it. That's enough of a reason to jump over to Ducati, IMO. It's almost like he can't really even trust Honda anymore.
