Enjoy the crown while it lasts lol (he's my fav but im a lil dissapointed with his behavior right now)

I know i know he's world champion but im not a fan of the typical american cockiness with his suit etc "Numbers dont lie" I think im going to have to switch to pedrosa (iceman) as my favorite rider....you cant be cheeky if you dont smile

One thing i've noticed is that he's kept his previous number '69' on his helmet. I think i've heard that champion's wearing the number '1' for the first time seem to stack pressure upon themselves - this is why Rossi never rode with it. Then again it could just be so that the number is always the right way up when he falls off and takes a tumble in the gravel, I don't know.
 
I've got a feeling there will be plenty of people jumping off Hayden's ship. I'll give the ones that stay respect, but the ones that go to #26. You need to wake up
 
The 69 he has worn since a kid, his fathers number was 69 apperently Earl was a crasher so they said they could always tell who it was even if the bike was upside down
 
I'm not jumping ship, as I'm sure many Rossi fans didn't jump ship after last year.
It will take time, and Hayden fans will take some lumps this year. Hopefully he will come to terms with the bike and riding style soon. Time will tell.

I don't understand what the big deal is. The world champion has the option to wear the number one plate to signify that he is world champion. Why not do it? He earned it, let him bask in it. There aren't many guys that have won a world championship and this might be his only opportunity to savor it. Let him.

I really do not think having the #1 on everything he owns now is really his decision. Sure wearing the 1 plate would have been, but astar and arai and all these other sponsors want their products to have #1 on them also.
 
I'm not a Hayden Fan. But, must admit that he has always seemed to earth and generous with compliments in post race interviews (that's all we get on speed Channel, ok?)

Hey, he's only gotta justify it to himself ...... perhaps that why he's trying to justify it to those of us that those statements are aimed at ..... wonder why?

Oh? Did he commit a crime or something? Has he been celebrating like some other racer I know?
