<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Aug 27 2008, 11:35 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>well according to the limited reading ive done today he actually stopped his engineering studies (Don't know which type) to go to the world champiosnhips.
To even be studying that stuff is impressive. Not sure how it works in the rest of the world but most of the top American riders do motorcycling first and if they can squeeze in a high school diploma then great. If not, well at least you can ride a motorcycle.

I think i've read in the past that Shinyas parents insisted he was educated before he started riding full time, and he is obviously an intelligent man

The 27 year-old Repsol Honda rider stated, `It is better, there are less lights and less problems. But I can´t say it has improved maybe as quickly as I thought it was going to. HRC have worked hard, but Tady is an HRC guy so he has to say those things. We have made progress, but it has been slowly.´

Doesn't this sound more like a confirmation that he is bound to Dukey!!!

Didn't Ducati have a caveat that if Marco made top 5 at Laguna or some other race in 2007 that he would get the Ducati ride for 2008?

If so could this similar situation be in place for Nicky at the moment?

This week’s Australian Motorcycle News (vol 58 No.4) has Hayden confirmed going to Ducati stating at page 146 that he and Ducati had agreed to terms.

It goes on to quote Livio Suppo saying (inter alia) they had always admired Hayden and his attitude to racing.
