Classic. He did reveal the reason he started dropping off the pace rapidly was because the bike lost a cylinder, then blew completely.

it's not surprising Nicky blows up and Dani doesn't. Nicky's the development rider.
It's not like Yamaha who gave Rossi the best kit to see if they could put together a title run. Nicky's been out of it since the get go, so he's gotta test the new junk even if they have reason to believe it will let go.

I am a stoner fan, but I was looking forward to great race between hayden and stoner for the whole race at PI. I don't think the engine failure was anything to do with hayden's riding, but due to honda generally being behind engine-wise this year and pushing the limits. Going on the other michelin riders, the tyres may not have lasted but it seems likely he would have been in a handy position when they started to go off.

I would've thrown the bike over,.. kicked the .... out of it,.. punched a corner worker,.. and corn holed an umbrella girl in my trailer the rest of the afternoon...
