he proved me wrong for starters - I would have placed him 10th at best

WELL DONE DOVI!!!!!
<

That was really exciting. You could see Valentino was having trouble staying in front of him, but when Valentino overtook him, I thought he would stay in front, but Dovi had other plans
<

I think it's really amazing to see how the ''rookies'' (Lorenzo, Dovi and Toseland) did so well. I'm really impressed. It's gonna be an even more interesting season I think.

Great ride from Dovi. He really took it to number 46 and the other factory boys. Repsol next year?????

One of the alltime best moves I've seen in Motogp .....

worked out a corner to try it at .....

checked it out one lap .....

worked out how to make it stick ....

then made it stick ........ magic ...

and on a satellite bike!!

Why not...

I would like it.

this guys got talent. its obvious. just as i say, fas riders will always be fast from the get go. u can just tell. they dont need a breaking in period to "learn" the bike they are just fast!!!!

i said that with stoner when he entered the scence. the same with all the other rookies this year.

please retire loris, when you are no longer in it to win the championship, your time is over and u are just filling up the numbers.

Well that's my books ripped to shreds. The guy I thought would finish last overall beats Rossi, incidentally the guy I tipped to win the championship, in the first race.
<

Well, good luck to him any rate.

Well he did take pole in his second race and finished 2nd in his third.

Dovi's always been fast. He just didn't have a bike that could compete with Lorenzo's the past couple of seasons. Am thrilled for him. He's a nice boy.

Actually he did to Rossi what Rossi did best in his Biaggi and Gibernau years. For someone who claims to have watched Motogp for decades, you don't seem to have taken in much. Or maybe, since you're old enough to remember Ago racing, it's just old age creeping in......

Excellent race from Dovi, passing Rossi in the same corner in the last two laps, I tought Rossi would have been more aware and tried to make himself as big as he could to prevent Dovi from passing, text book pass from Dovi, he kept it nice and clean and was hard out of the corner and Rossi could'nt get pass him again. Dovi gets the man of the race imo, reeling in Rossi then keeping with him and passing him to take 4th on an underpowered machine let alone the experience difference between the two is just phenomenal

It was a strange race for Rossi in unexplored terority with tyres and bike set up and we may not see Divo as close to him again when we get back to normal time races and track temperature or mabey rossi is ...... and this could be the way it will pan out for the season, this is unlikely and i expect yamaha and rossi to pull out all the stops and get it right but Stoner might already by that time be too far ahead in points

JT aslo have a excellent race... well done

Well done to casey just proving the point that he is the man to beat. He was just lying low for the first few laps untill se saw Rossi take the lead then he said right enough messing about lets see what you guys got and then he was gone... it was funny seeing Rossi look over his left shoulder to see Casey come blasting past near the end of the straight, I can only imagine what Rossi was saying at that point.. we need to get mic's in the helmets like they have in F1..

I may be old but I'm still not stupid enough to miss the fact that yes, I'm sure others have done simillar .... but on there first outing in the big league ...... that was impressive.

Sook at me all you like but I'm not the reason Rossi is not up front anymore, I do acknowledge it though.

and on a satellite bike!!i thought that too there bazza, very close but so clean. a lap earlier he was casing out alright but i think he would've had a go there too. he looked like he stayed high and turned in real late in the hope that rossi might run slightly wide, something he had been doing more in the last half-dozen laps. the pass was great, as soon as he spotted the gap he just drove the thing a little harder, gassed it just a little sooner to make it stick. great racing. not something you see happening to rossi that often in a last lap. more please! i like being old.
