Have you noticed that St Pancras, since the International overhaul is utterly and bewilderingly unnavigable depending on where you emerge on the tube? Passed through the other weekend and it took me about half an hour to orient myself and find the correct platform. Far cry from when I often slept in the archways following a sesh in Islington because I'd almost invariably missed my tube home.

Regarding meet-ups, there have been many. Acquaint yourself with the social thread - in particular the legendary Laguna and Silverstone 2011 and Austin 2013.

I may have done the first forum meet up with Roger at Valencia 2006, top bloke!

Let's not forget his greatest win. Back in 85, his dad carried all the load. He was his chief designer, architect and delivery man.

During this time, Cal had to live in his mums tiny, front garage for close to a year.
There's no official number, but Cal went undefeated, and beat at least a million others that year

Until he crashed to the floor destroying his mothers vajay and the legend of Cal was born.

I think that meeting up at a race weekend is too obvious - I'm pretty sold on the train station idea now :)

One things for sure, you'll never get BarryMachine to meet up. He has a rammed 24/7 schedule and supposedly the only time he's free each year is about 30 mins Christmas morning after he's finished opening his presents and backing his imaginary Ducati in.

I don't know how he gets time to take a dump, let alone post on here.

You could say Dovi won on a track he was expected to win on.

He couldn't get away from Marquez at all on a circuit that favored both he and the Ducati. That's ominous.

When it comes to Honda, there is no developmental limits, Ducati on the other hand has a history of very little development during the course of a race season even under GIgi. The Honda just seems to be able to grind out fast lap after fast lap in hot or cold, tight technical or flowing fast , doesn’t matter. From what I’ve seen, Honda has improved on last years bike which was really good the last half of 2017 and then there is Marquez, he is THE difference maker when things are even. I simply cannot see Dovi besting him in a 19 race season barring injury. Really if you think about it l,last year was freak engine failure away from being a rout and that’s with Dovi having his dream season and Marc having 3 dnf’s and could have had 4 and still won.

Much as I admire Dovi, I have to agree. I really hope it won't be a total route this year. Marquez's first year was mind-blowing but after a while it got tedious because we all knew how the story would end.

Maybe we should all try and meet up in our relative regions (at a central train station perhaps?) and discuss our differences.

I often find that the very real possibility of getting the living .... kicked out of you tends to make people a little more civil on their discourse with each other.

Then, when we have regional champions, we can then send them all to a neutral country (Switzerland...) for one big, final battle royal!

Then, maybe, we can stop the schoolgirl squabbling...

I can meet up at Kings Cross this weekend if anyone is interested?

Can we smoke a ...?

The Honda is the best bike, at the moment.

Too early and too close to tell. The three seem pretty close at the moment. While they all have tracks better suited to their capabilities, Ducati historically is ill suited to a greater numbers of them. Im not confident this current evolution how changed enough to overcome that.
Honda and Yamaha aren't that far off each other, but Honda makes the best post summer break adjustments.
For sure it looks like greater parity but I would never base any season predictions off Qatar

No - but might as well be. I know for sure Yakamoto San is Rog.

?????????

You mean Yakamoto San from Derbyshire? - the guy that used to ride mx at the desert in Rufford attended a Silvertsone meet up simultaneously with Rog and is mates with 'Lil Red? The geezer that restores his own engines and often shares his considerable insight into two strokes on here? That YakamotoSan?

Besides, Rog would never have bought that dreadful auctioned Rossi coffee table after a day on the Stella - eh 'San ;)

I don't totally agree there. While few can argue that Marquez has been the 'dominant' rider since 2013, I wouldn't call it tedious except for the first half of 2014 where it got to the point where it was pretty much a given he was going to win each weekend.

The only other rider to have won 4 titles in his first 5 yrs in Rossi, and if you compare their seasons from 2001 and 2013 onwards (I'm neglecting Rossi's debut season because he was on a satellite bike as a rookie and didn't win the championship, Marquez on the factory Honda did)

In 2001, Rossi won 11 races and finished over 100 points clear of 2nd place.
In 2013, Marquez won 6 races and won the title by 4 points

In 2002, a season I consider a farce in many respects. Rossi won 11 races on hugely dominant bike and extended his lead over 2nd place to 140 points. In 2014 however, Marquez won 13 races and only finished 67 points clear of 2nd place. That indicated a much tighter field.

While Marquez wasn't even a title contender in his 3rd season (2015)

2003 vs 2016 showed Rossi won by his narrowest margin yet (80 points) while Marquez won by 49 points.

2004 Vs 2017 shows 47 Vs 37 points.

In Rossi's first 4 titles, his average winning margin was 93.25 points. For Marquez's first 4 it is 39.25. Interestingly, Marquez scored the exact same number of points in 2016 and 2017.

Another point is the title only went to the wire once in Rossi's prime, where he lost out to Nicky. Since Marquez joined, the title has gone to the wire 3 times, 2 of them involving him and he has won both.

I'm the 2 stroke expert on here ;) Currently got my CR125 Honda running low 40's in bhp :D

Did you really think KayDee forgot?

I can only conclude, by way of your immediate hostility, your unrestrained Bopperism and your impotent and juvenile attempts to bully, that you are most likely that fat racist, alcoholic .... who drives a cheap-... Suburu with a loud exhaust around the Council Flats showing off your bad teeth and telling everyone how you're a "martial arts" instructor. If you're not Fat Rog - them post a photo of yourself to prove otherwise. If you don't have the guts to show your face - I can't be arsed to reply to any of your posts, because - really beyond wondering if you are in fact him - there's nothing about you that is vaguely interesting.

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

Okay - I've been wrong before. Not too proud to admit it. I got a little hot under the collar and like most folks, I don't think as clearly when under attack from A-holes. I happily apologize to Rog for mis-judging him.

As to Jum's reference to Kay Dee - he fails to mention that in all the time I posted on Rog's site - there was never a harsh word between the two of us. Neither one felt compelled to open old wounds. Only one person here seems unable to let it go. You know the old saying: Holding on to a resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other guy to die. Me, I'm feeling tip top. Champion!

Now will you confirm that Synnthia is not Senor Sammy?

Points all well taken. I was of course referring to the his rookie season only. As to whether it was tedious - that's just my subjective take. It just felt like he steam-rollered the whole season. Maybe I'm overly empathetic but I thought I sensed a general feeling of demoralization in the paddock. I mean the kid was scary.

Hitler was real nice to children and dogs.

Can't we just let go of the times he wasn't nice to others, and just accept him?

You apologize to Rog for mistaking he was synn, where you describe Rog as: a "fat racist, alcoholic .... who drives a cheap-... Suburu with a loud exhaust...with bad teeth..." etc. Arrabi does this make sense to you (since you're supposedly clearing it up to him)?

You're the a-hole Kancer, typical "apology" from you no less.

As usual tying to weasel out of disinformation by claiming you were mistaken. You simply got caught in another one of your lies, thinking perhaps nobody would notice, leaving you clear to unload yet another one of your gutless attacks.

As to Jum's reference to Kay Dee - he fails to mention that in all the time I posted on Rog's site - there was never a harsh word between the two of us. Neither one felt compelled to open old wounds.

Arrabi is well aware of the dynamic, he isn't going to buy your attempt at revision trying to thieve some credit for being tolerated, it had nothing to do with you Kancer, it was Roger's good graces, tolerance, and his commitment against censure that you shamelessly were allowed to join. You insulted his kids, his wife (of which she was member here) and continue still to make chickenshit disparaging gutless remarks here in his absence. You have your little waiter eating out of your psychopathic hand, but you're not fooling old hands who are privy to KayDee.

Which of those ‘friends’ of yours, or any member here reading this would stand for a member insulting your wife and kids, then have the tolerance to let him join your social group? ...., most of us here get bent out of shape if people root for riders that we dislike, much less tolerate personal attacks, exemplified of course by this thread. You blow up the forum with pages and pages of flame wars, then when you’re caught in lies we all should just move along and discuss the racing, right?

Only one person here seems unable to let it go. You know the old saying: Holding on to a resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other guy to die. Me, I'm feeling tip top. Champion!

Says the Kancer that continued to take spineless pot shots at Rog from time to time on various threads for years, look no further than here.

Now will you confirm that Synnthia is not Senior Sammy?

Synn has been deemed a "racist bigot" (seemingly the worst thing a person can do in this life) though what really bothers you is his crime of being a bopper; let’s examine this a bit further and shed some light on this situation. Synn has been mocking your name change Christian. As he pointed out from reading old threads, you are a cockasian not an Indian, who changed his name as an ode to some mystical religion. Contrary to popular belief, mocking your name change is not tantamount to racism. Synn, as far as I can tell, JP can correct me if I’m wrong, is mocking your name change given you are not an ethic Indian; keep in mind, his reaction was largely based on your attacks. Claiming you were then so flustered and “hot under the collar” to momentarily go senile (a reaction you created no less) so you can unload another cowardly attack on Rog as synn, and then Yakamoto. You attack newcomers, they react, and you label them forum pariahs, or worse Rog, the man who was far more tolerant than most of us still here. You’re transparent Kancer, and only when you’re caught in disinformation do you then attempt to humanize yourself, fooling your little enablers.

Go ahead Sammy and get it off your chest. I'm not falling into the trap of endlessly refuting all your ridiculous hyperbolic falsehoods and straw man arguments. If I do it just begets more of the same. The more reasonable I am - the more heated and nutty your posts get. And if I take the time to reply to all your craziness - you and JKD will lambast me for taking up too much space on the thread. So accuse me of anything you want. Go for it.
