I'm pleased to hear this is moving forward. I have hopes Lotus is eager to do the same.
My only condition is that you two refer to Cal in all future posts as the greatest motorbike rider you have ever witnessed.

Much as I like Cal thats got to be joke of the week, he's not a patch on Mike Hailwood.

Understandable. He's at that age when the prostate blows up to size of a pomegranate and just the mention of water sends him to to the bathroom. He probably uses a catheter to get through an entire race.

I know the feeling, mines not the size it used to be :giggle:

Hey Theo,

No by vindictive I meant that Jorge, who I believe don’t have the power to decide who stays or who goes at Ducati, could be very vocal on how he felt betrayed by Ducati/etc, ie bad mouth, should he get good result further in the season.

It could be like “look now I am winning/getting podiums but I felt not supported by Ducati when they we’re putting pressure on me with Petrucci while I was adapting to the bike”

Something like that, nothing of big consequences however kind of damaging to the Ducati-Lorenzo relationship which never helps in getting results/providing a fertile working ground

I will point out I am not and never have been enamoured of Lorenzo, he might be a good rider and skillful, but when he left moto2 to enter the premier league, he decided that he had to be more Rossi like in his antics, ie a show off. now some people can get away with it ie the yellow perils fans who occupy 50% of all seats (yes I am exaggerating) and yes he's won 3 championships to Rossi's 2, but he will never be a world champ on the Ducati, so he will be better off either going to another team or retiring, its his choice, before he gets shoved under the corporate train called Ducati.
Thats my view and I wouldn't be suprised if he tried to annul Dovi's chances if he could.

I haven't sowed conflict, that's all been of your own doing.

You should just man up and admit that this is going on because of your faulty assumptions and frankly your inability to shut up. I don't see you calling synn out on his garbage and racist posts which speaks volumes. Are you man enough to do that?

“Which speaks volumes”…I agree that racist ‘bigots’ should be called out for their racism…

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but Kesh is like Donald Trump; makes bigoted comments, expresses unprecedented ignorance, insults people then seems genuinely aghast that anyone might say something back to him, has delusions of grandeur, thinks the support of like-minded nut jobs counts for something, etc. He should just change his name to Keshav Trump.

I think you can agree that there have been plenty of conflicts sown here, some legit others grandstanding, fake outrage, and ‘faulty’ (that's euphemistic) assumptions too. Particularly because of the nature of this space, a racing online forum, bullying, trolling, and disruption of threads should be called out as enthusiastically as the bigotry you have assigned Synn. Will you also call out Kancer for destroying threads, including his ‘little lawyer’? Is bullying as egregious as bigotry in your estimation? Because we both deemed Kancer a ‘racist bigot’ (see above). I still stand by every word I’ve said about Kancer, do you? This thread, the first racing thread of the season no less, exemplifies that he is still the Kancer of the forum, only now he has enablers, like ‘little lawyer’. Why is Synn such a pariah but Kancer continues to spam the forum unabated and frankly enabled, are they both bigots, trolls, or not? Or is his unacceptable synn being a bopper?

50 plus pages in, and the same Kancer with his now ‘little Klone’ destroyed yet another of many threads. It’s practically futile to discuss racing, an empty claim made by so many here when the Flame War Instigator is on duty. However, I was compelled to speak up, ‘call it out’ as you say above, because as you may recall, it was the silence of those standing on the sidelines that contributes and enables the 'racist bigot Kancer' (by your own admission) of the forum. If it was true then, it is true now.

Kancer will seem to go in remission, its a pattern of manipulation. He'll PM a few of you in an attempt to humanize himself, lay low for a while, bring up opinions that he knows are agreeable to build false goodwill, and it will lull some to accept and engage him, until the next flame war.

Lorenzo was never in moto 2, class didn't appear till 2010 his 3rd year on the m1. His end of race celebrations were not a great idea, he just appeared to be a copycat and fans didn't like it.
He does need another chance at a ride that suits him and I hope he gets one.

Boy, it's a good thing that now the little spat is done nobody is promoting false narratives in order to throw fuel on the flames. :dirol:

I've only been on this forum 5 minutes (well it seems like it next to some of you) and yes I agree we can all be "pains in the butt", but recently along comes one particular person (who I have blocked) with a "I know best, you are all morons" attitude. Now I like lots of the comments on here and I "like" them. However as an old hand you imo should know better than to just pop in when the feeling grabs you and insult another person who has been here a long time as well. It makes the forum look bad for newcomers. We all have dislikes in life yet we all try to muddle through somehow and make the most of the hand we were dealt.
BTW I know I have no friends on here (the tab that is) but I consider 99% of the forum to be friends.

Couldn't have said it better.

Wow ...... you are a total dead set ....... Did you cone back on here just to have a spatty at Kesh?

What a total loser.

Kancer's deluded claim that 'certainly' Albert Tatlock is Rog, and you just run with it without actually thinking it through, and did so to confirm you're still sulking like a petulant kid. Hey BM, Kancer also "knows for sure Yakamoto San is Rog." You should hurry up and call Yakamoto San AKA "Rog" a ...... too. You're still sulking over a "spatty" with Rog, align yourself with Kancer only because you're still moping and he doesn't even know you still exist, who is the loser?

So what did you think of Rossi running third at Losail?

So you are yet another poster who is too clever to be involved in a forum such as this one yet feels the need to post on here 20 times a day. It isn’t even diverting to debate you since you fairly clearly have absolutely nothing to say.

I quite like Cal as it happens btw.

Mate. I'm not sure why your digging in. If I recall, I have replied to you a number of times and you gave me no response.

I was planning a response to your statement earlier today about Ducati and Dovi but have yet had the time.

If you recall, the reason for all the recent bullocks is because, after 20 or so race takes I was attacked, and since defended myself. I don't understand your viewpoint. Make race takes, but when attacked, don't defend yourself.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't

I must point out again, that Little Walter has continued to litter this Qatar thread with his moral indignation and not one single take about the race. Not one of the regulars has cried foul but in the meantime admonished me for doing the same.

where do you live? I gotta get a beer (or two) with ya lololol

I live in the swamp. On the plus side, the creek is to be redeveloped into an airport, so you will have but a short walk to have that cold beer. One minor problem, it’s going to take 10 years, so Dovi will be 42 by then. Only a minor I know, it’s Dovi so he’ll likely be going for title no 10.

Another option, do you by chance live near Mugello. That would be a nice place for a beer or two.

Each to his own, but while you may have a point about there being too much carping about other posters on this forum I am not sure making a large number of posts in which you carp about other posters yourself is the best way to respond.

While bored by the above, it
was your apparent attitude to Birdman’s post which was racing related which triggered me. I consider him the best/most valuable poster on here, and if he is not to your taste than this is probably not the forum for you.

To the contrary Mike, the context of my post was not directed at Birdman who Ive sussed out to be a bit clever and above the rest. I was talking about the general tone of the forum which didnt include Birdman and yourself, though perhaps I stated myself incorrectly and can understand your mistaken perception

Ok, I see.

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

Really what did you think?

I don't feel like getting into the discussions that have wrecked this topic the last 20 pages. It's racing. God knows you watched the race, so you must have some opinion on this.

Marquez will be winning the title this year too.

I'll assume you're talking about synn and NOT Albert Tatlock, though both have been practically referred to as if they were one unit, for affect of course. "'You are all morons' attitude" can be employed by more than one side Theo; why is it ok if Kancer equates those he deems unworthy to be labeled the "morons"? Which of the two then have the moral high ground, the side that you agree with is equally shouting "Iknow best, you are all morons"!

I don't subscribe to synn's opnions, and Albert Tatlock may shuttler when he learns that I'm not a fan of crutchlow, but they were both aggravated, granted synn took the low road, but Albert Tatlock has decidedly tried to reach a level of civil interaction and was rebuffed for pages and pages. Where was theo to restore order?

Now I like lots of the comments on here and I "like" them. However as an old hand you imo should know better than to just pop in when the feeling grabs you and insult another person who has been here a long time as well.

We all "pop in when the feeling grabs us" Theo, usually when we read something compelling we respond, there is no seniority here, Albert Tatlock and even synn are as entitled to post here as you, me, or anybody else, and the same level of engagement is often reciprocated, for better or worse.

It makes the forum look bad for newcomers. We all have dislikes in life yet we all try to muddle through somehow and make the most of the hand we were dealt.

Let me tell you what makes the forum looks bad, old hands like Kancer bullying 'newcomers' like Albert Tatlock or anybody who doesn't subscribe to the popular opinions on this forum. Take a look again Theo, it wasn't a discussion, debate and counter arguments about actual racing, it was malicious bullying.

I find it interesting that you have quoted me when you've been privy to pages and pages of 'insults' and combative forum behavior 'by' old hands, did you think to confront them? I'm reminded of a similar exchange by a sideline member who decided to chime after ignoring pages and pages of insults by Kancers. The best way I can respond to your sentiments theo, is to quote JPS below, you may follow his line of reasoning and see how it turned out, I think you will find the parallel to your response stunning.

You're asking the wrong person here this question though.

Fair enough, I was obviously mistaken.

Several old hands on here are actually Cal fans going back to his superbike days, Barry and I among them. Honda clearly rate him as well. It is always good to have a compatriot to cheer for as well. I follow the sport regardless, but my interest was increased when I had Doohan and Stoner to follow, having been brought to the sport by Wayne Gardner with whom I am less enamoured in his retirement. McCoy was always entertaining to watch as well, and like Cal and Simon Crafar won actual premier class gp races riding for a non-works team.

Your patience and tenacity to reason and break through into this community is commendable. There have been many before you who have joined, shown the same atrocious treatment you've endured, and have left. MikeM is a good guy, and for whatever reason your exchanges have been crossed up (at least this is my experience with MikeM). I've had the pleasure of meeting many members on this forum, some still here some no longer active, Birdman is clever, and I'll add salt of the Earth, as as you correctly surmised. In the history of this forum, only one active member has actually destroyed real friendships, if you didn't know already, that would be Kancer (and he's strangely backed up by a little klone). Don't be fooled by his remission, he's not the type of person you could trust. Fair warning.

I haven't been active for a while, busy really. I post every now and then, mainly just lurk when I have the time. But the treatment you have received compelled me to chime in against the Kancer. Its right and important that we stand up against bullies. I think if you continue to chip away, you'll fit in nicely here. Just so you know, I may not agree with many of your takes, especially Cal Cuntslow, who I can't stand, and I may just be a bit harsh on him from time to time. Believe me, you're not the loudest Cal fan I've encountered. A few members can attest to that.

Anyway, continue to chip away Albert CalCock. You'll find that some of the guys you've been arguing with will come around.
