So what did you think of Rossi running third at Losail?
Kind of sums up the forum in a nutshell
I don't know, I was too busy watching Dovi win

Your patience and tenacity to reason and break through into this community is commendable. There have been many before you who have joined, shown the same atrocious treatment you've endured, and have left. MikeM is a good guy, and for whatever reason your exchanges have been crossed up (at least this is my experience with MikeM). I've had the pleasure of meeting many members on this forum, some still here some no longer active, Birdman is clever, and I'll add salt of the Earth, as as you correctly surmised. In the history of this forum, only one active member has actually destroyed real friendships, if you didn't know already, that would be Kancer (and he's strangely backed up by a little klone). Don't be fooled by his remission, he's not the type of person you could trust. Fair warning.
I haven't been active for a while, busy really. I post every now and then, mainly just lurk when I have the time. But the treatment you have received compelled me to chime in against the Kancer. Its right and important that we stand up against bullies. I think if you continue to chip away, you'll fit in nicely here. Just so you know, I may not agree with many of your takes, especially Cal Cuntslow, who I can't stand, and I may just be a bit harsh on him from time to time. Believe me, you're not the loudest Cal fan I've encountered. A few members can attest to that.
Anyway, continue to chip away Albert CalCock. You'll find that some of the guys you've been arguing with will come around.

I did get my wires crossed, one thing I do take exception to is disparagement of posters actually discussing racing/motorsports, which Albert clearly did not intend. I should apologise to your friend MDub as well, my contretemps with him was probably from a similar misunderstanding; he is also imo a valuable member with good takes on bike racing.
Not necessary MM. Misunderstanding happen on internet forums, especially when our opinion are so different. I have always held you in high regard, always will.
“Which speaks volumes”…I agree that racist ‘bigots’ should be called out for their racism…
I think you can agree that there have been plenty of conflicts sown here, some legit others grandstanding, fake outrage, and ‘faulty’ (that's euphemistic) assumptions too. Particularly because of the nature of this space, a racing online forum, bullying, trolling, and disruption of threads should be called out as enthusiastically as the bigotry you have assigned Synn. Will you also call out Kancer for destroying threads, including his ‘little lawyer’? Is bullying as egregious as bigotry in your estimation? Because we both deemed Kancer a ‘racist bigot’ (see above). I still stand by every word I’ve said about Kancer, do you? This thread, the first racing thread of the season no less, exemplifies that he is still the Kancer of the forum, only now he has enablers, like ‘little lawyer’. Why is Synn such a pariah but Kancer continues to spam the forum unabated and frankly enabled, are they both bigots, trolls, or not? Or is his unacceptable synn being a bopper?
50 plus pages in, and the same Kancer with his now ‘little Klone’ destroyed yet another of many threads. It’s practically futile to discuss racing, an empty claim made by so many here when the Flame War Instigator is on duty. However, I was compelled to speak up, ‘call it out’ as you say above, because as you may recall, it was the silence of those standing on the sidelines that contributes and enables the 'racist bigot Kancer' (by your own admission) of the forum. If it was true then, it is true now.
Kancer will seem to go in remission, its a pattern of manipulation. He'll PM a few of you in an attempt to humanize himself, lay low for a while, bring up opinions that he knows are agreeable to build false goodwill, and it will lull some to accept and engage him, until the next flame war.
I'll assume you're talking about synn and NOT Albert Tatlock, though both have been practically referred to as if they were one unit, for affect of course. "'You are all morons' attitude" can be employed by more than one side Theo; why is it ok if Kancer equates those he deems unworthy to be labeled the "morons"? Which of the two then have the moral high ground, the side that you agree with is equally shouting "Iknow best, you are all morons"!
I don't subscribe to synn's opnions, and Albert Tatlock may shuttler when he learns that I'm not a fan of crutchlow, but they were both aggravated, granted synn took the low road, but Albert Tatlock has decidedly tried to reach a level of civil interaction and was rebuffed for pages and pages. Where was theo to restore order?
We all "pop in when the feeling grabs us" Theo, usually when we read something compelling we respond, there is no seniority here, Albert Tatlock and even synn are as entitled to post here as you, me, or anybody else, and the same level of engagement is often reciprocated, for better or worse.
Let me tell you what makes the forum looks bad, old hands like Kancer bullying 'newcomers' like Albert Tatlock or anybody who doesn't subscribe to the popular opinions on this forum. Take a look again Theo, it wasn't a discussion, debate and counter arguments about actual racing, it was malicious bullying.
I find it interesting that you have quoted me when you've been privy to pages and pages of 'insults' and combative forum behavior 'by' old hands, did you think to confront them? I'm reminded of a similar exchange by a sideline member who decided to chime after ignoring pages and pages of insults by Kancers. The best way I can respond to your sentiments theo, is to quote JPS below, you may follow his line of reasoning and see how it turned out, I think you will find the parallel to your response stunning.

Not really, we know Jum's feelings about Rossi so I wanted to know what he thought about Rossi running so strongly at Losail. Was it talent, or was it Michelentino?
Dovi winning is good and all but the RCV looking strong at a circuit it has looked abysmal at for a number of years is not a good sign for Ducati.
According to the Ducati riders the handling is quite a bit better than previous iterations. IMHO it's too early to declare presumptive favorites as there's no real way to know which company is at it's developmental limits for the season. Ducati seems to still to be sorting out fairing issues. While it does seem that Lorenzo is on track for a 2017 redux, Dovi is coming in strong right out the gate. Who's to say how much handier he'd have won at Losail if he'd had a better start? His confidence is at an all time high.

Several old hands on here are actually Cal fans going back to his superbike days...
Lorenzo was never in moto 2, class didn't appear till 2010 his 3rd year on the m1. His end of race celebrations were not a great idea, he just appeared to be a copycat and fans didn't like it.
He does need another chance at a ride that suits him and I hope he gets one.

Maybe we should all try and meet up in our relative regions (at a central train station perhaps?) and discuss our differences.
I often find that the very real possibility of getting the living .... kicked out of you tends to make people a little more civil on their discourse with each other.
Then, when we have regional champions, we can then send them all to a neutral country (Switzerland...) for one big, final battle royal!
Then, maybe, we can stop the schoolgirl squabbling...
I can meet up at Kings Cross this weekend if anyone is interested?

I think that meeting up at a race weekend is too obvious - I'm pretty sold on the train station idea nowRegarding meet-ups, there have been many. Acquaint yourself with the social thread - in particular the legendary Laguna and Silverstone 2011 and Austin 2013.
