that was awesome. I loved lorenzo popping up the wheelie with 5 mins to go, he must have known that was a cracker of a lap
something interesting to note too, that was the first time this year (weather aside) that VR has gone faster than Casey did last year on the duke. Ironically though. they both changed riding positions at this track and turned their seasons around.
‘Digger’ with all due respect…how can you compare 2010 to 2011??? at Montegi or any other track, when in 2010 the pole position was 1’47.001 and in 2011 its 1’45.267 that is 1.734 seconds quicker this year to last year!
And Valentino was the best of the Yamaha and he did a 1’47.055 and Casey did a best on the Ducati of 1’47.105, the difference between them was only a miniscule of 0.050 of a second, now if you want to compare apples with apples and not apples with bananas then compare Valentino to Jorge this year because that is how you are comparing 2011 with 2010! This year Jorge did a 1'45.523 and Valentino did a 1'46.467 the difference between 2010 & 2011 is 0.944 of a second.
Now if we want to compare Pole position in 2010 which was held by a Honda at 1’47.001 and the best of the Ducati in 2010 at 1’47.105 the difference is only 0.104 of a second now statistics say lots of interesting and different things and it gets worst for Valentino if we want to compare pole time to the best of the Ducati time in 2011.
Pole position in 2011 (btw Stoners time is quicker then the 100 Duke that held pole here in 2005 & 2006)which is held by a Honda once again is at 1'45.267 and the best of the Ducati is at 1'46.467 the difference is a whopping 1.200 second! Or if you want to go even further then the difference between pole in 2010 and pole in 2011 is even greater its 1.734 seconds.
