GLOTEGI GP 2011: Predictions, Practice, Qual

Stoner cannot wrap up title at Motegi

What if Lorenzo, Dovi and Pedrosa all DNF?
<

Lorenzo has been magnificent this year....I have really warmed to him and he has a great fighting spirit. Casey has sure earned the championship favourite tag but if J-Lo does actually manage to beat him it is THOROUGHLY deserved. He has earnt my total respect and admiration for his conduct, speed and tenacity.

Stoner said in his post qualy interview the new track surface was awesome and definitely helped bring down the GP times....maybe he took the Indy criticism to heart.... I think it was resurfaced after the Earthquake/Tsunami due to major cracks appearing in the surface.

Or mayhaps the Japanese are just better at track resurfacing. An interesting possibility considering this is a home track for bike testing.

Nope!
<

Pedro has ALREADY been eliminated. (In the biological sense, as in 'eliminating' a turd.)
<

The Mad Hatter sits at -99. If he finishes behind 27 today, he's out.

J-Lo is 44 pts. adrift, and there are 100 left on the table. Even a Lornzo DNF will not end the season.

A Stoner win In Japan will allow him to win the title at Philip Island by finishing anywhere ahead of Lorenzo.

Predictions:

Simo hasn't enjoyed Roo's 'sack therapy' for several months. I fear that, like the next Tōkai earthquake, a Sasquatch Attack is long overdue. Now that he's safely signed with Honda for 2012, I predict he'll return to his usual 'mindless berserker' riding and take out Stoner on lap 2.

mornin warm up

Someone said they ran a car race here after the re-surfacing, whereas motogp was the first thing to run on the newly resurfaced indianapolis track which I think is only used for bikes anyway. I know they ran an indycar race at motegi very recently, but am not sure if the indycars and bikes run exactly the same track.

Yes.

Don't think it's rained yet.

Zarco forgot to look back and just won his first 125cc race. He now trails Terol by 31 points.
