Nooo... the point of silly season is to stimulate interest and discussion using generally plausible, if farfetched, postulates - not impossibilities like Rossi retiring at the end of the '09 season.

Lorenzo to replace Hayden, who'll go to Yamaha.

EDIT: ...., I just saw the news on MotoGP.com.

seriously i find it amusing because in other threads i have put accross the idea of stoners stress being related to ducati's work load in testing there very prototype parts, now the thought of stoner going to suzuki that seem to have no new parts worth testing is like poor old stoner going to a convalessance home

You are exactly right. Because if you step back and look at all the key positions, NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

Honda - Dovi - Pedro (verbal)
Yamaha - Rossi - Lorenzo (confirmed)
Ducati - Stoner - Hayden (verbal)
Suzuki - Capi - Bautista 9 (confirmed)

The rest are satellite teams with not a shot in hell to win a race. The only thing worth speculating on now is Stoner's reappearance and where the hell Spies is going to go. I guess if we are really bored we can talk Toseland, Canepa, De Angelis, Vermulen, Talmasci, etc...

I noticed how after the news, Yamaha Lorenzo got another vote. I wonder who that might be? Perhaps a slimmy little Fish?

It may well be just me, but I picture a certain member (J708 maybe) salivating at the thought of getting hold or Rogers ....

You are hilarious.
I'll bet you just made that extra vote up.
Not only can you grasp that I "voted" log before you "called" me, but you can't even take a hint and now you are accusing me of "voting" after the press release?
You are really growing into one tiny pathetic man, but keep it up, it's quite amusing.

Oh Fishy fishy, you have zero credibility left. You say you "voted" but did NOT go on record, how slimy of you, secret votes don't count genius. Don't you know that once you vote you can't do it again? Actually this brings up an interesting suggestion for you. You should abandon your name and make a new alias, this one is completely done. How many times will you make a fool of yourself and still think people take what you say seriously? Here is a suggestion Babel, go back and edit one of your post on this thread and make it look like you actually made public that you voted for Lorenzo-Yamaha. This why the newbies can be tricked into thinking you got it right.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Austin @ Aug 24 2009, 12:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Lorenzo will sign for Ducati. Obviously the money is what people are going to look to first and it's hard to argue against that. Considering the timing of the leak that said Marlboro would pay anything for Lorenzo and suddenly Ducati joins the race for Lorenzo, it's difficult to say money isn't the driving force. And who could blame him? But at the same time, Ducati offers him a completely different challenge by means of development work as well as potential.

Hayden to be drafted in to be teammate to Rossi. Rossi has some say in who his teammate is, but not the final decision. I'm sure Valentino will be pushing for Edwards to return so they can pal around, discuss development and setup 24/7 and Valentino won't have to worry about CE taking points off him. Meanwhile, Yamaha will be trying to convince Valentino that Stoner really would be a good teammate to have. Yamaha will say no to Edwards, Rossi will say no to Stoner. The compromise is Hayden. Competitive, but not too competitive to worry Rossi (boy, will he be in for a surprise when Hayden swings a leg over the M1 B) ), capable of developmental work which is beneficial to both Rossi and Yamaha, and fast enough to feature on the podium potentially on a regular basis which will please Yamaha more than Edwards could.
It makes perfect sense in my head.

Same for me. Thanks for saving me all the typing.
<
I'll be curious to see how long Hayden takes to get up to speed.

Spies if (very iffy) he moves - on a factory spec Tech 3

Honda - who cares? Unless it's Stoner. I'd love to see Stoner and Pedrosa as team-mates.
<

But it won't happen.

Same for Suzuki.

Edwards, Vermulen and ToeSniffer - back to WSBK. Tah tah boys!

Secret votes! you are cracking me up. Get a live J.
Not that it matter but I've also stated in three posts now that I indeed did express my opinion on the two points that had any relevance. I have a hard time understanding what you are trying to do here because although you are slightly annoying to me (mosquito level
