I still think Lorenzo will go to Honda and replace Pedro.

Repsol want a Spanish champion that bad, I think they'd pay him what he asked for. I M O because there's been no speculation about it makes it the most likely!

I dont think so, its pretty much confirmed that both repsol hondas will stay. As far as i know they're working out some last minute changes in each of their contracts but both riders plan on staying.

BTW, the funny thing with the Fiat team could very well be that Edwards or Hayden end up on a "lease bike" on the factory team and Ben Spies have a full factory bike in a customer team.

Lorenzo to Ducati straight swap with Hayden

Not sure what's gonig to happen to Stoner but Ducati has shown that they will support both bikes and are willing to develope in a seperate direction from each other. I think that it could work with J-Lo and Stoner on the same team. Hayden would find himself changing back time to his rookie year. He would give up championship hope for the 2010 season but could be a contender when Rossi leaves in 2011. All I want to see is him being successful and on the podium.
 
If Lorenzo stays at Yamaha:

JT leaves Tech 3 and is replaced by Spies or Vermi
Everyone else (not confirmed elsewhere) - as you were (provided Stoner fit to continue)

If Lorenzo takes the big red shilling:

Ducati:
Lorenzo
Stoner (if not busted flush - otherwise Hayden or Kalio)

Fiat Yamaha
Rossi
Edwards (at Rossi's request)

Tech 3
Spies
Hayden/Vermi/JT (whoever misses out to WSBK)
 
Okay I voted lolo to go to ducati. Mostly for the love of money, also for the chance to develop his own bike at any costs. If you spend 13 mil on someone, the price tag to develop his bike must be priceless.
Next will it be cs or 69? I think it could be both. If Nicky is offered jl's seat then he's out the door. Do not pass go don't collect your $100 go straight to fiat. But I think jl is replacing cs. And that is why they didn't make an announcement when the story leaked. They need to clear up the whole cs issue at the same time. Which should happen this week.
So the last question is answered above kentucky kid a swap. For the aussie .... no, rossi wont be having that.
If lorenzo signs I think the Ducati team will be jl and kilio. So the real question is if all this happens where would cs land? Pramac????

Lorenzo will sign for Ducati. Obviously the money is what people are going to look to first and it's hard to argue against that. Considering the timing of the leak that said Marlboro would pay anything for Lorenzo and suddenly Ducati joins the race for Lorenzo, it's difficult to say money isn't the driving force. And who could blame him? But at the same time, Ducati offers him a completely different challenge by means of development work as well as potential.

Hayden to be drafted in to be teammate to Rossi. Rossi has some say in who his teammate is, but not the final decision. I'm sure Valentino will be pushing for Edwards to return so they can pal around, discuss development and setup 24/7 and Valentino won't have to worry about CE taking points off him. Meanwhile, Yamaha will be trying to convince Valentino that Stoner really would be a good teammate to have. Yamaha will say no to Edwards, Rossi will say no to Stoner. The compromise is Hayden. Competitive, but not too competitive to worry Rossi (boy, will he be in for a surprise when Hayden swings a leg over the M1

), capable of developmental work which is beneficial to both Rossi and Yamaha, and fast enough to feature on the podium potentially on a regular basis which will please Yamaha more than Edwards could.

It makes perfect sense in my head.

And yes ya git. I'm painfully subduing the possibility of Haystack going to Yamaha, at least there he will be fighting for podiums again. Being #2 got him a championship once already.

Good point Austin, didn't think about that. I keep picturing al these riders in question in a game of musical chairs. Sounds like the music will stop in the next few days.

Looks like the forum is leaning toward Ducati for Lorenzo, but split on who he will replace.

So it wouldn't be a straight swap as it will be lots of talk like JT's seat but Hayden will get it.
