Ross Brawn will be Honda's team principal:

http://f1.gpupdate.net/en/news/2007/11/12/...team-principal/

That's great news for Honda, because Ross is a genious imo!! I have to say I did not expect this, I thought Brawn would re-join Ferrari, but this is good for Honda! Maybe they will do a better job from now on.

This was a surprise to me, i would never have guessed ross would go there. But for Honda, its excellent news, lets hope they can get some decent results in so we can see button and Hamilton competing for 4th place next year.

Well they can't do any worse, so they HAVE to do better ha ha.

It's interesting Ferrari announced their changes in their management personnel today. Seems they were negotiating with Brawn, but didn't offer him what he wanted.

Big mistake by Ferrari, imo.

Not for the win???
<

With Brawn there, they will make a big step forward. That's good news for Jense, who had said he would leave if Honda wouldn't improve. Would be nice to see what Jense can do next season. After a disappointing start to the season, he did a better job at the end, but still the car was too slow!! I felt sorry for both him and Rubinho.

It's brilliant news for me. At the moment on Jenson Button forum. Everyone seems really happy with the announcement including me. I hope that Ross can turn things around and save Jenson Button's career. Please make Jenson's dream come true and mine as well. I would love to see a British driver riverly between Button and Hamilton. How awesome that would be?

It'll still be 4 places higher than Alonso.

Apparently Brawn wanted Todt's job, and that wasn't going to happen since Ferrari won and that saved Todt's .... IMO hadn't all Stepneygate happened, McLaren would have won both trophies and now Todt would be retired and Massa on the dole. And Brawn and Alonso would take their places.

We will indeed, iIt can go anyway still. Its obvious Alonso is a championship contender and one of the highest class drivers on the grid, but what equipment gets supplied to him can make or break his 2008 serason. Whatever happens i don't see him winning the title, but it'd be nice if he could fight at the front.

1. Brawn is great, but the only one who can ''save'' Button's career, is the guy himself!!

2. I would love to see a rivalry, don't care if it's a British rivalry, that's not important to me.

Although we like to think so, it wouldn't be that simple and you know it. Perhaps its some ways its best he doesn't come back, he doesn't exactly have a lot to gain since he is already the best ever

Well, he might not dominate the whole season, but I actually think he could win the title. Depends on the car too of course. I personally think he's still good enough. But you're right, there's no need to come back, he's ONE of the best ever. Whether he's the best, is still impossible to decide imo. He's the best of his era, that's a fact. Like MS once said, Senna is the king, and I'm not even close (he said that before he won that many titles, I think it was in 2000). Even the guy himself knows he's not the best

Lewis Vs Michael?!
<

NOW THAT WOULD BE GOOD!
<

I wouldn't know who to root for, or even have an idea who'd win. We all know Lewis is very fast, just as much as Alonso, who himself in a good car was a rival to Michael, but you can't say LH is better than MS on the basis he 'beat' FA.

Dennis would have a bloody heart attack keeping those two racers at bay!
<

On his time? Meh, the regular drivers are usually MUCH faster than Badoer, so it shows Michael is getting a bit rusty. It's all PR too.

Personally, I would like to see de la Rosa get the McLaren drive, he did a great job standing in for Montoya in the past and claimed a brilliant 2nd in Hungary 2006 after that long Schumi battle. He'd make a great number 2 to Hamilton.

Failing that, Adrian Sutil should get a better ride ASAP. I fear he could fade into F1 obscurity without a chance like Montiero did, he's proved himself a capable driver.

I think he would be a good number 2 to Lewis, I agree on that! I expect Lewis to be the ''number one'' driver now Fernando has left, so Pedro might be a good choice for the 2nd seat.

Yes!!! IMO, Adrian is really good, but of course his car is crappy, so people wont take him serious. Hopefully he'll get a better seat in the future. I think he could become one of the top drivers of the grid.

Not a fan of the guy??

Anyway, he was fastest again. I know it's only testing, but still!! He was faster than Massa for almost 0.5sec!!! Not bad I would say.

I think that since Mclaren are so invested in their "equality" values, they will probably hire a non-threatening second driver for next season to avoid troubles like they had this year.
